Report on-board High Flyer 2
Went out with Jon, late booking, got us out of the mess what had occurred with another skipper, Jon however was an absolute bosting bloke, top notch, had a wicked day and a good crack too, I would recommend the high flyer and Jon to anyone, made my weekend, ultra clean boat and fitted to a very high spec, loved every second of it. Cheers Jon!

Report on-board High Flyer 2
Headed out today with the lads from Birmingham way, bit of lump on the water with a blowy westerley ,trying our luck to start with on the Corton Bank as had caught few spotty dogs during the week there. Unfortunately the pesky whiting were around nabbing the baits first as usual not letting us have any luck . Moved back right inshore to join few other boats at Snag Alley as the ebb was just starting, results were small codling again along with a few keeper whiting basically what had been happening all week. Seemed to be the same with the other boats, plenty of fish just the wrong size! After suffering a few hours there we decided to move to the flatty ground as the tide was weakening, more small codling and whiting ,the odd keeper and glad to say few nice flatties pictured here with top angler Jimmy! Was a hard day at times i thought all the lads done extremely well, every fish took effort today and changing tactics here and there paid off. Big thanks to Ian,Scott,Paddy,Ady,Tony,Martin,Matt,Adam,Ryan and Jim, enjoyed the day thoroughly ,good banter, was a pleasure to take you out. Hope to see you in the summer for better fishing offshore. Much appreciated. Jon. High Flyer.

At last the weather relented and we have managed to put a few trips together in the last couple of weeks. The large shoals of Herring in our area have affected the cod fishing and given us the odd quiet day but the better days still seeing us catch up to thirty Codling in the two to three pound bracket with a good showing of Thornbacks to sixteen pounds.Over the next few weeks the Thornbacks will increase in numbers and be joined by the other summer species Bass,Smoothounds etc,so some good fishing to look forward to

Mark Laker and crew from Kent joined Flamer IV for a two day angling break with flatty's in mind but unfortunatley the very coloured water meant that the Turbot and Plaice could not see the bait although Bryn Roberts did manage to catch a Plaice and win the biggest flatty prize on day one.Not detered on day they two decided to do a species competition with friendly wagers on who got the most points and the biggest fish. Three marks were fished at anchor and produced plenty of fish including Blonde Rays,Conger,Smooth Hounds,Dogfish,Pouts and lots of Whiting.Bryn Roberts won the Species Comp and Garry won the biggest fish prize with a 20Ib Conger eel.The banter and micky taking went on all day and the lads had lots of fun.It shows that you can change the plan to suit the fishing trends and conditions and still have an enjoyable day out fishing. Pictured is Lloyd Lawrence with his first ever Blonde Ray weighing 10Ib which he returned alive.

Report on-board Ocean Warrior 3
This month has been good sport with plenty of big Pollock on the deep water wrecks. There have been many double figured Pollock caught on the sidewinder lures which seem to have been working the best.

This week Ocean Warrior 3 had its biggest ever Coalfish, caught by Tabish Aiman. It was a cracking 16lb and these fish are hard fighting and was a well enjoyed catch by Tabish.
We are looking forward to getting back out to the deep wrecks offshore for some more good fishing. -
