We went uptiding again as its has been fishing well, the tides wee small but the last bit of sea we had left plenty of colour so hopes wrre running high.
we had a slow start but persevered and moved a few times finding a few fish each spot.
The biggest fish was a 17lb Ling today which fell to local lad Niki on his 2nd ever boat trip,
we also had cod upto 9lb 12oz, and a good few fish in the 6lb bracket too.
best bait was worm and squid, but cart took a few too.
Pictured is Niki with his Ling - well done on your new PB mate!UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD Mistress

Report on-board Out The Blue
Another year another boat - those of you that have fished with Terry on the Raptor in the past may be intrigued to try out his latest aquisition. This stunning traditional Lochin 33 'Out The Blue'. She may not have the speed of the Raptor but she still pushes on at a fair lick and is capable of speeds up to 22 knots. As you can see from the photographs she has a very large open deck with plenty of room for landing those big Blues.

With very poor forecast for the boys from the RAF it was touch and go if we got away at all today with a strong s/easterly and the sea coming from the same direction there was only one place to fish off the Claremont pier in 23ft of water it was bearable while we were in the lee of the boat but when the tide started to flood it changed quickly but I said try and stick it out as when the tide makes a bit the fish will come over the top of the bank and feed in the gully that we were sitting in and they did we had 30 cod all around the 8-10inch mark and one nice fish of 3lb3oz a few Whiting and Dabs made up the bag all the small cod were put back alive they were all lipped hooked,it was nice to see so many juveniles it must have been a good spawn early last year for these fish lets hope we see more of them,bp.

No sooner were lines down and the rods were into fish some nice cod coming aboard the lads finished with around 60 cod for day with only 5 onboard not a bad day the best went between 8- 9lb and lot around 5-6lb so not a bad stamp the tids are on there way up this coming week so the action should increase and its that time of year when a 20lb plus cod could stick its nose out .UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD Sea Otter 2
