After a bit of a layoff with the recent bad weather we were back at it today the tide wasnt massive not the best for uptiding but hopes were still high the 5 lads amassed about 50 codlings between them once again john vero was on form john himself had over 15 codlings a nice day weather looks good for tommorow so see what tommorow brings fingers crossed.
John with a nice fish.

Today's 4 hour fishing trip started off with a few whiting then all went quiet for a while before Stuart caught a cod. As we were on a 4 hour trip but had to travel a fair distance due to being a neap low water it meant we only got 2 hours fishing time so had to go in shortly after Stuart caught his cod. We ended with 1 cod and 8 whiting

Cod fishing offshore was slow to start this year but they are ther now seeing many around 8 to 9lb
With a few bigger ones showing up from time to time. As the water cools more will show still bit slow at times but worth waiting it out as ther has been 3 over 20s out the last few weeks on live baits plenty of nice size rokar coming up and lots of whiting too skipper mark peters View Boats Page

Saturday 7th December we got out for a uptiding trip 9 lads from Manchester on a stag weekend had there trip out from 1pm to 7pm very slow at first 2hrs into trip no fish as the day went on the sun went in and darkness fell the cod came on the lads started to take fish from 2 half lbs to 6 half lbs around 40 cod, 10 rods here is some of the lads with there catch,

After the big seas that we had last week we didont know what to expect from the trips at the w/end Saturday ran off to the Holm bank as I new there would be a lot of weed inside a few Dabs and Whiting, ran back inside and had a few more of the same for Natalie and Michaels party,Sunday ran north off the church bit lumpy only managed a few Dabs and Whiting came back inside but loads of weed covering baits so decided to head back south but it was much the same until this aftermath settles then things will improve hopefully tomorrow hope you all have a great xmas and I look forward to seeing you all in the new year Brian

No Cod today but the Dabs/Whiting has made up for it for Colin and camra shy Bernardo ran out side to begin with not much interest in our baits so came back in after tide started plenty of fish from anchoring up well done and have a great xmas bp

What a belting day we had today.
I had two lads taking the boat from Bradford and boy were they rewarded, its the 1st day back to sea following the last Northerly, plenty of colour in the water I noticed on the way out.
The day got away quite slowly until the tide turned then it just went bananas all afternoon.
I fished too seeing as we had a good bit of space available, between the 3 of us we took between 40 and 50 Cod.
The Best angler took 22 cod, taking home over 22lb of prime fillet.
The most surprising thing was the stamp of the fish coming aboard we saw many fish today between 6lb and 10lb, The best cod took the boat scales round to 10lb 4oz
The best bait by far was half a black lug tipped off with a strip of squid.

WE LEFT THE MARINA AFTER CODLING WE ANCHORED UP AND SET ABOUT RIGGING THE RODS UP WE STARTED OFF WITH A CODLING STRAIGHT AWAY WE THEN MOVED TO VARIOUS MARKS AROUND THE RIVER ENDING UP WITH 19 CODLING OF WHICH 10 WHERE TAKERS ALTHOUGH SOME WHERE RETURNED ALTHOUGH THEY WHERE IN SIZE PLENTY OF WHITING AND SOME NICE DABS ERIC AND JOHN SHARED THE POOL WITH A 2 4LB 1OZ CODLING A GREAT DAY HAD BY ALL GARY View Boats Page

THURSDAY THE 28TH NOVEMBER
INDIVIDS DAY
WE LEFT THE MARINA AT 6.45AM AND HEADED DOWN THE RIVER WE DROPPED THE ANCHOR AND STARTED CATCHING WHITING AND SMALL MICRO CODLING (5 0Z ) AND THEN PAUL D STRUCK INTO A NICE FISH AFTER 5 MINS IT WAS IN THE NET A NICE 7LB COD WE THEN CARRIED ON CATCHING SMALLER STUFF AND DAMIEN SHOUTED FISH ON AFTER ABOUT 5MINS HE TO HAD A 7LB1OZ COD IN THE NET WE CARRIED ON AND ENDED UP WITH 8 CODLING TO 4LBS AND 1 OF 7LBS AND 1 OF 7LBS 1OZ WELL DONE TO PAUL D ON A PB AND TO DAMIEN M ON A PB SEE YOU AL;L SOON GARY View Boats Page
