Fished out of the Mersey on Discovery. 12 of the lads from work (a mixture of experienced, in-experienced, and complete novice). Had an absolutely fantastic days fishing were we caught dabs, smoothound (star and common), dogfish, pouting, cod, ray, whiting, and even a herring turned up. Bait was lug, crab, and feathers. Would like to give Gaz and Daz a massive pat on the back as they certainly earned their keep, passing on all of their vast knowledge and experience to the lads. All whilst preparing the bait and tackle, providing food and refreshments, and finding the fish for us. The boat and equipment were first class, even though there was 12 of us we still had plenty of room to fish and relax.

As soon as we stepped back on to the dock everyone going on at me to book the next one, so it looks like a nice little winter trip on Discovery for the cod is on the cards.
Again, thanks very much for all your efforts Gaz and Daz.

21.06.13 Andys trip, well after the previous days fishing there was only one place to head to off shore the only thing in our way was a wind blowing at 1 7knots wnw although the forecast offshore was for 3mph wind so the decision was made to head offshore theVizability was down to about 1 km most of the way but some 26 miles later it was flat like oil and sunny the fishing was much the same as the day before with Huss to 10lbs etc we finished off on the Smooth hounds on the way in with Eddie loosing a fish after playing it for a long time due to a hook snapping on the bend we didnt even get to see it never mind there is all ways next time, a great day cheers lads.

20.06.13.Alex Smeatons trip.

Well Alex and his crew travelled down from Scotland and came down last year to do a species hunt and we broke there record in 2012 with the most fish caught on a trip,Well the fishing had not been too good the last few days so i explained whist doing there safety brief not to expect to much from the day,so we set off to a rough ground mark offshore
on the way out Graham handed me there species sheets all neatly labelled with numbers which had there fishing position on well we arrived and immediately hit mackerel so we rigged all there rods up with rigs they had requested and the match began we had rays to11lbs Huss to 12lbs Tub Gurnards to 4.5lbs.Herring,and a lot more species overall we beat last years total to my amasement but that is fishing,we had fished the same mark 3 days prior and only had 1 fish ,Overall a fab day, well done Stephen, who had 9 species ,
