Report on-board Spot On!
Spot On's first trip out of 2013 after being out of the water over January for her annual scrub and tidy up.
Todays trip saw plenty of good size Pollock varying from 8lb to 19lb+
Loads of high double figured Pollock a ling, whiting and pouting.
Good sport and lots of net action.
A big thanks to Paul, Mick, Dave, Phil, Chris, James, Richard, Alan, Charlie and Ashley for being a great crowd and as always making a very enjoyable fun day. Hope to see you all again soon.

The spring run of cod has started early this year and we are getting some nice fish to about 6lb. I am looking forward to some good pollock and turbot fishing soon, weather permitting and I am also planning some 2 day trips from June onwards to try for some 20lb+ turbot and cod. What a day today turned out. Options were limited with forcast , decided to to attempt 5 mile mark, bit lumpy to say, knew we wouldnt have long there but we had to try. I did see the clouds of gulls behind the supply vessels churning sprats up i had this before which led to a bad day. On the 5 miler plenty of marks on the sounder but no fish came aboard at all. Had to move as the tide turned against wind becoming unfishable , headed with the other boats inshore grouped together as usual! Whiting all day few decent ones as pictured with Paaul here. No cod at all, believed all the boats were struggling. Was a non stop windy day, good banter as usual, thanks to lads for understanding the lack of cod, we moved 3 times in all,just too many bait fish,all whiting throwing up sprats. Thanks to Ian for organizing the lads, with, Alister,Paul,Dave,Scott,Chris,Vinny,Ross,Dave, and Shaun, appreciate you all coming out, hope we have better fish next time and weather!!!!!!! Been in the caribean for a couple of weeks back on the 10 feb we will be guns blazing allready to go when i get back the cod fishing as excellent before i went on holiday so cant wait to get back at it .

With a strong westerly forcast we fished the north roads with Peter and his friends loads of marks on the sounder but only whiting today there is so much natural feed in the water the cod are not feeding on our baits,we fished our second LT Small Boat Owners match today as well and out of 5 boats and 24 anglers only 7cod were brought to the scales, results were first place went to Sam who fished aboard Whitby Quest 11lb.1oz cod that was the only fish they caught,Second place went to Colin who fished aboard his own boat Ledus 4lb.6oz cod,and third place went to Kerin who fished aboard LT Provider 3lb.7oz cod, my thanks to all who entered and look forward to seeing you all again when we do the next match in March around the 17th or 24th for full details call me if you would like to enter,Brian.

Sunday 3rd february 2013, 5 Anglers out today for an evening nite trip uptiding a break in the weather just around the tide got us out little slow at first but as nite fell the cod came on to around 5lb and 6lb, total for the trip about 20 cod 3lb to 6lb, couple pouts few big whities, so not a bad nite for the anglers who did turn up,
