Report on-board Supanova II
Some Cracking fishing throughout October has seen many a happy angler that has ventured to Weymouth.

Spring tides have seen some superb bream fishing with double shots galore combined with continued super plaice fishing has meant the inshore action has been superb.
Bass fishing has been exciting to say the least on the portland race both with live Mackerel and also artificial with the Red Gill evolutions proving the lure to beat.
October see's competition time in Weymouth, the annual 2 day bass comp featured 3 Weymouth boats this year with more next year. The aim of the comp is to land the biggest Bass. This year team Supanova were fortunate enough to claim the title for biggest fish and most Points with Phil Rogers and Byron Jones collecting their awards respectively.
And in the last few days team Supanova were beaten narrowly by team Flamer in the annual Supanova vs Flamer flat fish comp. Team Flamer were victorious with 91.5 points and team Supanova 86.5. Well done to the Flamers!
Highlights for the month were Glenn Knight equaling (again! 7 Plaice of the same weight now!) the boat record for Plaice with an astonishing fish of 6lb 12oz.
Biggest Highlight had to be Byron Jones winning fish in the Bass Comp, A boat record and a PB for Byron.
The magnificent fish is pictured of 13lb 8oz.
Thanks to all for continuing to support Weymouth and watch this space for possibly some big Weymouth news in the New Year.
Novemebr will continue to produce good Bass catches with late Bream, a good run of Channel Whiting, and who knows maybe the odd Cod and quite possibly the continued run of Plaice.
On a sad note close friend and colleague Richard English of Lone Shark has decided to call it a day on the angling charters for the time being, a big loss to the port indeed. Good luck RIch in the new career path RIch!
Supanova will be leaving us for her new home in the Shetlands at the start of November but fear not I have a lovely Catamaran to use in the period between the delivery of the all new Supanova 2 in the New Year.
Tight lines one and all,

Bit of a uncomfortable day to start, horrible easterly rockin and rollin, causing a few casuaulties! Fog still lingering so kept inshore in the Roads, whiting from the off! Stayed there still the slack , and decided to catch some flatties off the bank just off the Holme. Nice little result two at a time here and there still with whiting! Ended our day inside off the Swan to use up the worms, plenty of decent whiting again, no cod for us yet, just a lovely little thornback to end the day off for Andy , pictured here. Big thanks to Chris Lomax for treating the lads from his team, Dean,Steve,Owen,Collin,Wayne, also Andy,Derek and Rodger, always a pleasure and a good laugh with you guys! See you all soon, much appreciated. Jon

Well the wind and weather. Hasn't been good for us all again this year, however when we are getting out some nice cod are showing on certain marks. Inshore cod fishing into December. The 2013 diary is up and running with earlier year off shore pollocking in January to get into them before the spawning session which seems to be getting earlier each year. Foggy old day with little viz to start down to 20mtrs at times, thought best to fish inside the Roads for safety reasons. Weak tides today and gentle NE, started off with whiting , and more whiting and guess what more whiting! Moved position after slack start of the flood further back up to Corton Church, few flatties thrown in with same old whiting. Few keepers in amongst them, tried our hardest for early cod but still none. Moved out to inshore wreck beaten by prolific weed so finished up back inside by the White Swan. Whiting all day, plenty of sport. Big thanks to Lawrence for organizing the day,Charlie,Luke,Vicky and Jimmy,Lewis,Lee and Toby. Would like to add a personal well done to you all today, very nice to see conservation minded anglers taking couple of fish for the table and returning most, wish people would follow your example sometimes.Pleasure to have you aboard, hope to see you guys soon. All the best. Jon.

They joined us again today on their last trip of the year. Sadly Paul Deardon, their organiser couldn't make this trip after falling and smashing his wrist. Get well soon mate.
The others who came however enjoyed a great mornings sport but a rather slow finish to the day after being plagued by seals on the last 2 spots!!
We steamed off to a couple of wrecks South East of "Baymans Hole" some 25 miles for a change of scenery today, as the fishing on the inside marks is still proving very difficult indeed.
The first wreck produced the best of all with a nice selection of fish coming on board until around noon.
Kev Raikes enjoyed some nice Haddock fishing on the bait with fish to just over 2lb. Several other Haddock came in as well in the morning.
Chris Mee finishing the day with the most fish.
Thanks for the on-going custom lads and look forward to seeing you all on your trips next year.
Chris is pictured inset.
Cheers
