Report on-board Mistress
The last week has produced some good catches again on Mistress. The weather has been a hinderance at times, keeping us ashore. The days we have been to sea have been steady, with quite a few Personal bests beeing beaten.
View Boats Page
We had to fish close inshore one day due to the fresh SW winds but we still found some nice pollock for the lads on jelly worms in around 15ft of water.
Wrecking is still producing lots of Ling to Mackerel baits and the odd better Cod also falling to Bait.
Shads have been producing well, I will keep you updated on how they fish after this current northerly!
The Autumn festival starts on the 8th September, £1000 first prize for the biggest fish, there are still a few places left, get yourselves booked on!UPCOMING INDIVIDUAL SPACES ONBOARD Mistress

Saturday was very windy and we struggled to get to the best fishing spots, but we managed some skate and hounds against the odds.
View Boats Page
Sunday was windy to begin with, but for once the forcast was right and the wind dropped as the day went by, fishing was slow at first with just small hounds, we moved to a bank that has been quite productive recently and we caught plenty of hounds and a couple of small bass.. One of the anglers hit into an absolute cracker, which ran against the tide and clutch and sadly snapped the line.. probably a really big hound, but who knows. We finished up with about 25 hounds so not a bad end to the weekend. -

Went fishing on the 24-08-12 was their nice and early, the sea was like a mill pond, never been so excited to fish the wrecks that ive herd to be famous for ling! We was booked for a 10 hour trip which is a long day for the not so hardcore angler. When we got their we found out that their was just the 3 of us on the boat! which was amazing! The skipper must be bonkers or brilliant one of the two to take 3 out for ten hours! I wasn't complaining!. My day started of not so good after donating about 5 perks to the wrecks in 5 drifts, but as they say you have to hook the wreck to know your in the right place! Then after the first couple i managed to bring up my first fish, a nice cod about 3lb. As the day went on the more fish we caught my biggest cod of 5lb and ling of about 8lb, at one point as quick as you was putting bait on you was taking fish off! All in all a fantastic skipper, fantastic boat and fantastic fishing. Will definitely be going again to loose some more gear in the wrecks and hopefully pull the same amount of fish out!

Hi all, well here we are nearly at the end of August and the weather is still a big headache !!

In general its prooving to be another good season -- back at the end of June we had a monster shark on for 4hrs and 15mins, we chased it 4 miles it broke 2 men and finally parted on keel !! then Dave on the Mystique 2 actually got a 330lb Thresher Shark (estimated) on boat, tagged and released , seems maybe big gear is the order for earlier season next year. Sharking is generally good and the three boats (us, Swallow and Mystique 2 had 26 between us yesterday with 3 100lb +, and the reef fishing very good at times. Just about full for this year now but 2013 the wk ends are disappearing fast. Will keep you up to date when I get a chance, Regards to you all, Pete
