Report on-board DAWN TIDE II
This weekend showed more good bass about 1lb to 6lb most of them we had on the red gills and feathers the biger ones uptiding. The hounds are fishing well along with a few skate here and ther and dog fish ofcouse the mackerel showed but still bit patchy.

Half day tide trip, full boat left the quay and moved to the spot that has been doing well over the last few days picked up a few big mackerel no small fish around.... Moved to find some bass but got few more mackerel...

Half day and conditions were good with a light s/e we headed for a mark that i havent been to for a while we got the pick in at 7.20am to catch the last 2hrs of the ebb and what a 2hrs with Skate from the start it proved to be a great trip for all with Katy catching 5 out of 7 well done and hope you enjoyed your fish at The Sailors Home Kessingland,see you all soon, Done an evening trip went to same mark it was a bit lumpy but the fishing was very slow with only 1 Skate and a few Hounds tide was a bit strong see you Tuesday Rick for another go, Brian,Paul

Half day tide trip left the quay at 10:45 and went to yesterday's marks, drifted there and caught a good load of Mackerel. Moved to another mark in search of bass and picked one up HAPPY DAYS View Boats Page

Left quay at 9:45 with a full boat and went to the area that has been fishing well, picked up around 40 good size mackerel and released countless small fish... One lad even caught a herring!
Full day 1pm 9 fishing this afternoon went and had a look at some wrecks some fishing better than others but still landed a nice haul of good size cod and a pollock too which is something we have not seen in a while! Had a move in search of some early evening bass and landed one! Good bunch of customers had a real laugh, hope to see them again! View Boats Page

Friday 24th august 2012, 4hr trip today 4 anglers fished a wreck 7 miles out 2hrs before low water then 2hrs ath took 5 pollock 3 ling 1 cod, the best been the one of the pollock in at 7lb, both ling 5lb each, and the cod 5lb, sunny day flat sea good 4hr trip,

AUGUST 2012 - Brothers Steve and John Norman traveled up from Cornwall to join Flamer IV for three days flatty fishing.They were not dissapointed and between them they set and broke Personal Bests several times.John did really well on the first day catching lots of flatty's.On the second day he was catching flatty after flatty and big ones at that much to Steves disamay.John's PB plaice record went several times from 4Ib to 5Ib plus and finaly stoped at 5Ib 12oz.But On their last day Steve finaly got into his stride and broke his Personal Beat Plaice record three times in three drops with Plaice weighing 4Ib 8oz,5Ib and 5Ib 2oz.He also caught several brill with the best one weighing 4Ib 8oz.John is pictured with his 5Ib 12oz plaice.The brothers have already booked for March 2013 to fish for Big Turbot.

Orcel Sea Training are a small youth group from Hartlepool that takes young people to sea to build their confidence and team working skills. We had the rare opportunity to go makerel fishing on Danny Boy and we had a great time. All the young people caught a range of fish none of which they recognise at first but by the end of the trip they could name: mackeral, bream, whities, codling and dog fish.
Some of our group were very young but the crew on Danny Boy were very good at explaining clearly what the kids should do and should not do. They provided all the fishing gear we needed and they remaind patient when it got tangled up.
I think it is important to get kids interested in fishing so when they grew up they may become the next generation of boat fisherman.

with a great forcast we set our sights on bass being a big tide trying a number of banks we
ended up on a shallow wreck which produced the goods 34 keepers up to 4lb plus a few
honds for good measure
19 august
same area today but not as hectic as yesterday thats fishing!!!
still had 9 keepers up to 5lb and a fair few hounds and loads of whiting (autumn is on its way )
