Report on-board Flamer IV
JUNE 2012 - Day 2 of the Gypsy Mariners SAC angling break saw a variety of fish caught including Plaice,Tope,Blonde Ray,Bream,Red Gurnard and Turbot.Lenny Skilton landed a 14Ib 8oz Blonde Ray,Bruce landed three Turbot which were all returned and Paul Costello landed 4Ib and 4Ib 8oz Plaice.Mark Cooper landed a Tope and the biggest Plaice of the day weighing 5Ib 5oz (pictured).Day 3 to be fair the fishing was a bit slow but still Plaice,Turbot,Bream,Bull Huss etc were caught on a damp foggy day.
LOOK - JULY 3rd is a Flatty Trip for Plaice,Turbot and Brill and there are Just 5 Places Left. Don't Miss Out.

Mon 25th June- full day- 9 Customers- left the quay at A very social time of 11:30 out on the hunt for Tope, we made the decision to move to a different mark that fished well last year..... We made the right decision! Arrived at the mark and anchored up - got the customers catching some mackerel whilst Tope rods went in- before we knew it we had some really good runs and within 20 minutes first Tope of the day landed- unfortunately lost one after a run whilst landing the first... After this point we did not stop until a lot later - all in all 13 Tope landed and all really nice fish- some with a lot more fight than others - especially the one that had caught up the line round it's tail and then shook itself free and decided it wanted to fight 20 foot away from the boat - also 200 mackerel landed really big too the top size was 16 inches! 2 Allis shads also - nice to see -what a great day- lovely weather lovely flat calm seas and really good fun with a great bunch of customers! Can't wait till the next Tope trip at the weekend :) -pics to follow.

Air show day on lead us 24/06/12
with the weather throwing everything it could and the heaviest rain ive seen for years produced some great fishing with 12 smoothounds between 4.5 / 7.75lb plus half a dozen smaller ones a mixture of starry and common and 10 whiting for good measure and a good day had by all View Boats Page

JUNE 2012 - GYPSY MARINERS SAC from Plymouth on day one of their five day angling break aboard Flamer IV had a flatty day and landed some excellent Plaice ie Chris Harris 5Ib 5oz,Lenny Skilton 4Ib 8oz and 5Ib 12oz and 77 year old Neil Tuckett landing the biggest weighing 6Ib.Neil is pictured with his big Plaice.The successful bait was ragworm tipped with a strip of Ammo squid.Mark had a Turbot and Lenny and Neil both caught Dabs.Other species caught were Red Gurnard,Dogfish,Pout and Mackerel.

Leyland and farington boat angling club, fleetwood. fished on "sapphire" from friday 22 june to sunday 24 june 2012, friday was very poor 10 anglers 2 fish 1 cod 4lb, 1 ling 5lb, S/E wind big seas fish fail to show up, sunday was the better day we had a run off 15miles seen good cod 5lb to 10lb bout 100 maccies the lads went home happy,

Fishing here at Hartlepool this week has been steady away when the weather allows us to get out with some good catches of cod and ling coming aboard
The anglers are using shads or mackeral for bait with some good results the best cod last week was 16lb with the best one over the weekend at 11lb View Boats Page

Sun 24/06- half day -full boat. Left the quay at 8:15 and out to a mark that's been doing well... A quiet start to the day with one side of the boat seeming to catch more fish than the other, naturally this turned into a competiton.... All in all over 80 mackerel landed and a good day on reasonably calm seas. Good fun had by all

JUNE 2012 - John Patten age 45 from Barnstable,North Devon came out on Flamer IV for the second time Flatty fishing and broke his Plaice Personal Best again from 4Ib 10oz which he caught on Flamer IV in May to 5Ib 8oz.John was so pleased and has already booked two more trips with a six pounder his new target.The successful bait for Johns Plaice was ragworm tipped with a strip of squid.John is pictured with his new PB 5Ib 8oz Plaice.On the same trip John also caught a Turbot with the successful bait being mackerel strip.

JUNE 2012 - John Billett from Frome,Somerset broke his Personal Best Plaice record for a second time this year while drift fishing aboard Flamer IV.John's new PB now stands at 5Ib 9oz.John was using 10Ib class tackle with a flatty trace with lots of coloured attractor beads on.The successful bait was ragworm and squid strip.John also caught a 4 pounder on the same trip.John is pictured with his new PB Plaice.
