Report on-board Cleveland Princess
04/10/2010 i hope you enjoyed the fish and the shrimps for your tea after what was a bit of a slow start to the day with some nice size whiting and some small spottys on the contour the fishing is normal for this time of year,we had a move in to deep water as the tide eased to see if we could find a cod but only whitings and dogs did not get the new landing net wet plenty of time in the coming months,i sure the cod will show very shortly so be ready for a bumper season see you all soon,Brian/Paul.

Report on-board Razorbill 3
Fishing over the weekend was slow with WHITING and DOGFISH the main catch but there are reports of some boats landing COD up to 8lb offshore and numbers of CODLING inshore, The small tides made fishing for THORNBACKS slow , If you anchored on a patch with some on you would get them. With bigger tides this week i think we will see some more THOPRNBACKS caught, These tides should help with the COD fishing as they will move up on to there winter feeding grounds,

Report on-board Katie Ann
Fished for three days on Katie Ann, from the 23rd September - 25th September. Excellent and varied catches each day. Hitting the Sea Bass first thing in the morning, with all that fished catching good sized fish, before moving on to catch a good mix of Black Bream, Red Gurnard and the odd plaice. Finally, moving to fish for Brill and wonderful Turbut.

The stand out day was day three, when in near perfect fishing conditions, all areas fished superbly. The trip was rounded off in perfect fashion with a final three hour session on the Brill and Turbut. All of the group caught good sized fish including Turbut of 7lb 8oz, 9lb 2oz and a wonderful specimen of 12lb 8oz. -

Report on-board Shy-Torque III
If any of you intrepid anglers out there have ever thought about trying a spot of shark fishing then you could be doing yourselves a massive favour by choosing the fantastic port of Whitby in North Yorkshire. The targeted sharks we on the Shy-Torque III are aiming to catch are the porbeagles which mainly run off here from May through to the end of October. The heaviest porbeagles we have boated to press here off Whitby were both caught this year and one is pictured here. They were both nudging the 300lb mark!!! The lucky anglers who boated them were John Wilcock from Bradford and Dave Brown ( picture ) from Hull. Both fish took well over an hour to land !! We also reckon we had even bigger shark than this on the line this year. One of the " Ones that got away " actually bending the hook almost straight !! Puts paid to the idea that you have to go abroad to experience BIG GAME FISHING !!! If you want to have a go at these magnificent fish next year drop me a line or an Email.
