Report on-board Duke IV
Despite the weather we are getting out and getting amongst the Cod. Lug & Squid or just plain Squid doing the buisiness. The fish are between 5lb To 10lb. Chris Terry & Ric all Duke IV regulars enjoyed the day with these Cod along with some nice Whiting Pout and of course the Doggies. Still a few dates available over the holiday period so come out and test that new gear!

This must be the time to catch up on my reports, we still have snow on the ground and to make a change the wind is blowing so i have canclled my trip for today, So hear we go,over the last week we have seen mixed fortunes, the first day we had 34 COD up to 7lb and 3 THORNBACKS to 11 lb, The next day the wind was strong so that limited wher we could go and also the amount of fish, with only 9 COD to 6lb it was not one of my best days, The next day the wind had decreased, with six indeviduals i was able to try offshore, RThe first fish aboard was a 10 1/2lb COD to Jon Wesley a good start and the rest of the day went by well with another COD to7lb makeing the total 25 COD for the day,The next day i had 5 anglers hire ther boat, they landed 37 COD to 6l, Another great day.

Report on-board Galloper
after a while fishing inshore due to to bad weather we managed to get offshore today. i had the lads from boat fishing monthly aboard and so we headed for one of my favourite big cod marks as the weather allowed. there was a fair swell running but it was comfortable enough to fish. at first we had a few doggies but soon enough we were into the cod. they came steadily throughout the day and although we only had 20 cod the fish were a great stamp. we had 7 doubles with the biggest just over 16lbs we also had several fish in the 8-10lbs range and a couple of roker aswell. these bigger fish will be around untill just after christmas and with a run of fish this size dont be surprised if we get a 30 pounder! we still have some spaces over christmas and there are still plenty of fish inside if the weather is too rough to get offshore.

Hi
View Boats Page
The weather in recent weeks has seen us move off of the wrecks and inshore for the winter cod. Catches continue to be good and nice double figure size backed up by nice abundant channel whiting and the odd bass.
Looking forward to getting out to the wrecks when we get a calm spell to find the Pollack
See You Soon Chris

Report on-board Duke IV
November has been an interesting month. I can't remember a month with so much wind! I have had to cancel most of my planned trips and as I look out over Ramsgate harbour its raining and the wind is howling.
View Boats Page
The fishing when we have got out has been as expected with lots of Whiting and Dabs along with Cod, Skate and the odd Bass. Jo and her friends had a good trip on Duke IV with a catch of Cod, Whiting and Bass.
We have had local peeler crabs available in Ramsgate, very late in the year for this area, I suppose the water temperature still in the 50s has encouraged this late peal.
The Herring and Sprats have arrived so the Cod are feasting on them, good for packing on weight but not so good for us trying to catch them..
A number of Spurdogs have been caught in the nets so maybe we will be able to catch a few, the law of averages should allow us a spell of settled weather required to get far enough offshore. Still dates available in December and the New year on Duke IV.
Seasons greetings to you all! Bob. -
