    Report on-board Razorbill 3

Well over the past week the fishing has improved with more and better size fish landed on the boat,CODLING from 2 1/2lb up to 11lb, We are still getting numbers of THORNBACK RAY with the largest i have landed on the boat a fine fish of 15lb, WHITINGS are more numerous with good size fish up to 2lb, DABS are starting show up in more numbers and we are still getting DOGFISH. I would expect the COD fishing to get better with more and better fish but i think the THORNBACK RAYS will start to thin out as we get into DECEMBER, We still have one or two dates free before Christmas for indeviduals/groups so give me a ring. You can see more at my web site.

    Report on-board Galloper

the fishing has been good but patchy. yesterday we had a nice run of cod but were pestered by a seal. today we headed back to the same mark in the hope he had gone away. thankfully he had and once the tide was under way we saw some cod coming aboard. we totalled 11 cod and 7 roker. not a missive haul but they were quality fish. the biggest cod went 8.8lbs and a a couple of the roker were around the double figure mark. not bad fishing concidering the drop in the tides. when the sprats turn up the cod will pilke on the pounds so dont missout on decembers fishing. see our website for a weekly fishing update aswell as available dates.

    Report on-board Flamer IV

OCTOBER 2009 - THE ROYAL HOTEL TOTTINGTON SAC - The club were due to do two days fishing with bream, bass, cod the target species. But the trip was cut short to one day beacause of the bad weather due on the Sunday. On the Saturday it was a bit choppy in the morning but the weather did improve as the day went on,the lull before the storm I guess.Well we targeted black bream and flatties and did very well.Plenty of black bream were caught with Geoff Hall catching a personal best weighing 4Ib.Two sessions on the Shambles Bank produced five turbot and two brill all on Ammo mackerel baits. Also two plaice were caught on the mussel beds with Garry Spencer catching the biggest one a fine plaice of 4Ib 8oz which was his personal best.Garry is pictured with his PB plaice.
The lads also caught other species including red and tub gurnards, dogfish, garfish, mackerel, pout, lesser weaver etc.The club were pleased with their days fishing on Flamer III and have booked up for three weekends in 2010.

we had the day off today and so stacey and i took out some friends of ours out with us for the day. stacey was at the helm and took us well off shore to one of our favourite big cod marks. on the ebb we only had a couple of cod and a roker aswell as a smoothound. as the tide started to flood we saw a few more cod coming aboard and by the end of the day we had 16 cod and 7 roker. there were loads of dogfish and whiting which kept us busy but i think they stop some of the cod getting to the bait. the cod averaged around 5-7lbs and the biggest was 11.6lbs caught by stacey.

  • 28/10/2009 Fishing Report by Peter Davis on Warrior II (Looe, Cornwall)

28 Oct 2009 by Peter Davis

    Report on-board Warrior II

Hi all, well after a very busy Summer the sharking has now finished, ending on a high with a 110lb (estimated) on Fri, Oct 16th . The numbers are up on last year and considering the days lost with poor weather I will write it down as a good season with a good percentage of fish up around the"ton". Reef fishing from Looe has been on the whole good with some very good reef Congers going well over 60lb. With the winter looming towards us it will be the weather that will challenge the bookings/trips in the coming months. Any of my regulars reading this report please try and book as early as poss.for next year as the diary is just the opposite of last year and is already looking busy for the top times and tides !! The boat again will stay in the water for the whole of the winter period so there are deals to be done, even for small groups of you. To all that fished aboard Force Ten, thanks for your bussiness and to all new crews/clients/ customers-- dont wait too long, Cheers, Pete

    A Tripple personal best
Posted by mick on September 28, 2009

This weekend has seen some excellent fishing but on Sunday a group of anglers from Newcastle between them managed to break three records

after wreck fishing all morning and bagging plenty of nice ling and a few cod I decided to head for the ground and in no time the fish were having it, a cracking ling of 15.2oz came up for young Jack and a personal best for him well done mate, the other anglers heads were down and not wanting to be out done by such a young lad (as they had a sweep going for first and second heaviest fish of the day) the very next drift Wayne fishing at the back of the boat and with a fishing rod about 1 meter long

( no joking the rod had been broken on several previous ocasions,)

hit into a whopper the stumpy little rod with no end eye was nearly bent double the fish gave a good account of it’s self with Wayne puffing like steam boat and eventually up came another two personal bests one for Wayne and another for the new sea urchin 2 a ling of nearly 24lbs

well done lads and I look forward to seeing you all again soon
