Report on-board JFK TWO
eventually after a very blowy couple of weeks, sunday was a lovely day. flat calm seas awaited us.went around about 8 wrecks a few fish off each wreck. [the wrecks and hard ground actually fished better when the wind was howling].

the slack water period proved to be the best time with several reasonable ling coming aboard over this period. by now the sun was out and the teperatures picked up and it was turning into a hot flat day with the sea turning into a sheet of glass a couple of cod just on the double figure mark also put in an apperance. before we knew it the day had flown over and it was time to steam home. approxamterly 1 and a half hours home.a little bit of video was made of the day if you wish to see it please click link to our website then link to videos -

Report on-board Aquila
Been out loads with Chris Gill, and we always catch a lot of fish. I used to go out from Looe but one trip out from Mevagissey with Chris and i've never gone back. Its 20 mins extra down the A30 but worth every minute.

I've done 10 trips in the past 2 years and caught double figure fish on every trip. Congers up to 50lb, Pollack to 16lb, Ling to 20lb (common), amongst others fish such as 4lb Haddock, Cod and the tasty Red Gurnard!
The shark fishing isn't something i've done out of Mevagissey but i've seen the pictures, so they are defo out there.
You only have to look at the record books of 20 years ago to see that Mevagissey was the place to go fishing from it held almost every record! Only two boats out of there now and its fishing very well as a result. And the wildlife out there is better than anywhere in the Uk that i've been. Whales, dolphins, basking Sharks are things i've seen on almost every trip. Pilot whale for example (see below) which we actually hand fed at the side of the boat! -

Report on-board Sea Urchin IIl
Well this week has been a good week all in all with plenty of cod showing on certain wrecks and also a few good days fishing on the ground, the water was beginning to bloom up again which made for hard work inshore, plenty of marks but not easy to catch, had a good day on Friday I think? when local angler Howard gave us all a lesson on how to catch fish, he was taking fish on shad/bait/jigger you name it he could not fail just makes you realise that even when fish are around skill and experience make a hell of a difference, some of the other anglers on board were relative beginners and were it not for Howard filling up they may have returned home thinking there were no fish to be had, still everyone had agreed how nice it was to see double figure fish come aboard,

then Saturday saw a wonderfull weather day at sea, the water was blooming in patches here and there which explained why some marks fished and others zeroed still tortured a few marks which produced more double figured cod see picture Glenn stocks the honary president of the w.c.s.a. who chartered sea urchin II on Saturday, most fish were caught on bait rigs and only one fish fell to the shad? strange how things change on a day to day basis, big ling was noware to be seen this week my best was around 11lb still lots of straps we put back a huge amount, not a lot of whiting say a dozen all week and yes I lost count of the pouting returned, if all the fishing were this productive it would be heaven, still thats fishing.
