The fishing is really coming to life now. There have been great numbers of bass and hounds showing with dogfish, rays, whiting and dabs too. I have spaces from tomorrow and availability for full boat bookings and individuals over the coming weeks.

The bass fishing has improved over the last week or so. These are the best two from the other day with 30-40 caught and 16 kept. There were plenty of hounds, Dogfish, whiting and dabs in between too. Things were pretty busy at times with 3 bass to the top rod on the first few casts before the kettle had boiled! Worm was very important and the lads who didn't use it didn't have as many bass.

There were some great hounds and bass showing over the last few trips. The other day the lads had good numbers of each with several decent bass for the table and some nice hounds too. The biggest hound fell to Steve on the last cast of the day and went 18.5lbs which is a great early season fish and there's plenty of time to beat it this summer. It could have been the one that got away for his son Sam earlier in the day but Sam made up for it with the bass he really wanted.

The general trips are still producing a good mix of fish at the moment. There have been some nice hounds around with some pregnant girls pushing double figures. The bass have improved in numbers in places with several keepers per day in places and some decent rays mixed in too. Of course those dogfish are still there in case you are worried about missing them. With temperatures set to rise and good weather forecast for the next few days things are looking good. A few decent hounds around the real big ladies are yet to arrive. Plenty of good bass around and some thornbacks. Hopefully with the rising temperatures big shoals of bass will be arriving as well.
Worms producing most of the fish, the thornbacks seem to prefer squid and fishbaits. Tight lines everyone. View Boats Page

There’s Plenty of bass around at the moment a decent stamp of fish & reasonable numbers aswell for April,
Worm baits & lures are most productive & both are a must if you want to target the bass. Its only going to get better as water temp rises with big shoals hitting the lures!
Hounds are creeping in more & more although we we’re catching them in February the real big girls are yet to arrive in proper numbers but im sure they will start showing in the shallows in coming weeks.
The Tope wont be far behind either & if the spurs are going to show it will be very soon aswell bedn a few rouge ones reported this week
To be honest il keep continuing to target bass until all the rest kicks off
Its nice & steady at the moment plenty for everyone.

Mark and the lads had a good day despite the weather the other day. There were loads of dogfish and whiting but thankfully in between there were some nice rays, hounds and bass. Stuart had the most rays with 5 to his name but the others beat him on the bass.
