Report on-board Lady Grace
We had a 3 hour fishing trip today with Phil, Nettie and Chris. Luckily Chris showed them how to catch and had 3 codling and 1 whiting while Phil and Nettie caught crabs and limpet shells. All cod and whiting were released to live another day despite being big enough for the dinner table

Report on-board High Flyer 2
New years eve headed out to the Roads again not much point going anywhere else today bit of a sw wind forcast later on in the day so keeping things comfortable stayed inshore. The whiting were very few on the ground today not too many good ones either rather strange and no flatties and just the one pouting today so we were grateful for the codling. Nothing bigger than 4lb really which despite knocking it is a great size eating fish, armed today with fresh blacks specially ordered for us by Gorleston Tackle over the festive season,(well done Jason) and fresh lug together with few old peelers i found started off further south than i normally go, with few reasonable fish from the start. Caught the end of the ebb with about a dozen codling to show for it before slack. After slack we had a slow start with odd few coming in, bit too slow on the flood for my liking so decided to head up to a mud mark i like which seemed to pay off thank god! Total keepers was 47 at the last count cant remember what we threw back but reasonably good day all round wind was picking up so back in about 5.30pm. Apoligies for picture quality think the frosts killed poor camera, ordered a new one so expect picture improvements! Big thank you to all the lads especially those who helped to wash down and get rid of all that weed very much appreciated. Just leaves me to say Happy New Year to you all my customers and fellow anglers thank you for supporting me and the High Flyer throughout the year, looking forward to being of service in 2015. tight lines to you all. Jon. High Flyer.

Its not looking good for the next 2 days with strong North Easterly winds dont think we will be able to get away be for Tuesday never mind the fish will keep until we can go again, ive heard some good reports from a commercial friend of mine he shot some lines last Monday in an area that we go to when conditions are good enough he had 4 double figure Cod that's encouraging i haven't been to that mark for 5 weeks so hopefully in the not to distant future we can pay it a visit, but cant complain the fishing inside has been very good to us long may it last its a god send when conditions are so we cant go any where else,bp.

Fishing Report by Scott Belbin
on Galloper (Brightlingsea, Essex)
Dec 2014 by Scott Belbin
Report on-board Galloper
I’m pleased to say that the fishing is still going strong for us as we approach Christmas aboard the ‘Galloper’. The river is still fishing well despite a few sprats and herrings showing. I hope that the stamp of fish and the overall quantity should mean they don’t put the fish off too much. The sheltered waters here can still produce some good sport and a nice feed when the weathers not playing ball. Of course when we can we get a bit further out and numbers here are still good with 40-60 codling a trip common place along with a few roker. The stamp is picking up too as these fish soon put weight on with the abundance of food on hand. If the conditions are right then we can push even further afield and try our luck for a decent cod or if we’re really lucky we can get stuck into some prime dogfish! So over the coming weeks there are several options open to us with spaces on most types of trips over Christmas and into January. Please see the website for available dates, more information and regular reports at www.essexseafishing.co.uk or 07956411528

With conditions as such that we cant get off we have been keeping inshore off Corton all week all the partys were advised of this but there is plenty of fish to be had all though they might be a bit on the small side it is good that we have some where to go when conditions stop us getting off with 4 trips fished there this week the total amount of fish was incredible,Tuesday just me and Andrew on his boat 50 Cod with 35 take home,Thursday 64 Cod for the party with 47 take home,Friday 39 Cod and 25 take home,Saturday 40 Cod this party had a weight competition 45lb of fish,a total of 240 Cod,these fish just keep coming there must be such an abundance of food down there but we did find over the week there were plenty of sprats in the bellies when gutted, well done all you boys and look forward to seeing you all in the new year,Brian
