With conditions not the best it was off to snag ally with the party on Wednesday19th i must say iam not a great lover of this area as i have mentioned from time to time but when conditions are so that its not good to try and get off and what fish there is at the moment you have to bite the bullet never mind we had fish from the start all though they are a bit on the small side there is allways that chance of a decent one as we found 2 weeks ago with a 6lb8oz and 5lb4oz coming in over that weekend and last sunday rob on katy picked up a 7lber so there is some about its a bit of a lottery but if things go well in the next few weeks i can see a steady improvement in size as these bigger fish will appear when you least expect them to and in areas that are not normally assosiated with them so keep plugging away and that biggy will surely find your bait,i hope you all enjoyed your day out with us and look forward to seeing you all again soon, this picture is from Saturdays trip15th with Mike and Darren holding up the Rooker best was 9lb5oz well done Mike we didont expect to see them,BP.

Fishing in November has continued to provide some excellent sport with some very good catches of codling up to 3lb with the odd better fish, lugworm and squid cocktails attracting the most attention. Several rays ,whiting and dogfish helping to keep the rods busy all day. Check out the website or give me a call for some great Christmas deals.

Report on-board High Flyer 2
Today was a trip organised by DXB water regulars on the High Flyer part of the furniture i would say, poor buggers! It was decided to remain inshore today weather wasnt brilliant forcast wise so stayed in the Roads, bit of a slow start compared to yesterday first fish being a pouting! Few whiting came along as expected wasnt really to the tide changed when we saw a few codling appear. Unfortunately for us the heavens opened rather hard at times along with a easterly wind which always kills the fishing! Thought the lads done well to stick the weather got a bit swelly side to side motion in a easterly, stayed until dark. We ended up as you can see pictured few codling keepers some dabs amongst them , well done to throwing back sizeable codling makes more to catch next time. Big thanks to Derek for organizing, brother Jeff, Keith and Richard for travelling all the way from Brentwood much appreciated, and James,Kev,Henry,Alex and Tony sorry about the weather lads lets hope for a better day all round next time. All the best. Jon. (High Flyer)

Report on-board High Flyer 2
No wind at all today took advantage of the calm conditions headed out on the 5 to 6 mile mark in the deeper water, been wanting to get out as the wind has been relentless for weeks. Started off with whiting from the start, weak tide so ideal for uptiding in 104ft but nothing but more whiting! No cod or skate from the mark few small doggies and couple nice flatties. Gave up after tide changed no improvement headed slightly in to try mark on the 2 mile same old thing. Rather than lose the day decided to join the others all grouped in the Roads small codling from the off plus the dreaded whiting, ended up taking a few for the pot at least people were kept busy bit unfortunate that nothing decent to report from further out. Picture today of Dan Jackson with few keepers also thanks to other lads, Dave, Will, Matt,Shane,Josh,Jonny, Rodger and Matty was great weather conditions and we caught fish most of the the day appreciate you guys washing down as well. Look forward to seeing you soon. Jon. High Flyer.

Had a great day out on Saturday the 11th of October with with John on the High Flyer My first time out with the skipper with my Dad. My dad says Jon is one of the best skippers he has been out with and he has been out many times with different skippers from all over the UK . He was helpful and and provided a good flow of drinks chocolate biscuits and top cup a soups,The boat was clean, fast and plenty of space for everyone. We had a steady stream of fish all day. The company and banter was great all day it was a shame that Dave kept having to show Jon what cod looked like!!! A first class day and for sure we will be back again thanks a ton Jon and look forward to next time. If you get the chance book up with Jon you will not be disappointed.

Just bringing us up to date most of the charters have been fishing inshore. Main reason is the strong south west winds that just havent seemed to give us a break, Also too warm plenty of small codling about inshore lucky for us, most days producing between fifty and hundred codling of all sizes. I must compliment most of our anglers with conservation in mind for throwing back the codling as it can only help our stocks not much point in taking fish even if there legal size if no meal is involved. Also all the boys returning the female thornbacks well done great to see, as we have had a run of them still few left hoping to get out a bit if we get a reasonable day weather wise. The whiting are plentiful as always the better fish coming on our fresh herring baits also last week a run of very small spotty dogs not sure where they came from but always happy to catch them. Picture of the report is someone taking 5 mins cant name Trevor for legal reasons must be the codling wearing him out! Hoping for a cold spell soon we could really do with it not the odd frost but good few weeks as this should bring the better fish in ,will be doing some distance as and when we can. Our weekends always go first as you can see by the calender i do keep it up to date within the day so generally accurate most evenings should you want a trip. Planning on evening trips put your name forward by text or email will be working out the best dates as we work around slack water so obviously limited days. Well thats me done hope to see you at some point until then tight lines to you all. Jon. High Flyer.

But as we said, we will not be back in Bradwell for a couple of weeks, so if you could bear with us just a little longer, so we dont take your booking and then because of weather, we are not back and have to disapoint you, we would rather just hang on a week or two more until we know the boat is tied up in her berth in Bradwell and ready to treat you all to the most prestigious charter boat opertaing around the country..!
I can see there are a lot of Codling about at the moment, which is a good sign of a great season to come, but looking at one report on this site, from a boat out of a local port, not too far away, and looking at the size of some of the Codling they are holding up.... that is not something I would be proud to show on any web-site even if the fish just about scrapes in at the leagal size limit, hey come on guys put the little fellows back to reach some sort of maturity please..!!!
