Just back from a fantastic carp fishing holiday in France so I thought I'd give you a quick update on the first couple of trips since getting back.Smooth hounds making up the bulk of our catches with fish to fourteen pounds hopefully the bigger females should be putting in an appearance in the near future ,still several rays and bass being caught on most trips. The Mackerel fishing has taken a turn for the worse since the water coloured up a bit after a few days of northerly winds but should improve as the water clears up again. Special summer deals to get you fishing with us on Seawatch at www.seawatchcharters.co.uk

Today forcast of light westerlys headed north in search of few mackerel hoping to find some clear water nded up on the east side if the Newarp Bank unfortunately water still murky after our 3 days of northerlys! Tried a few spots i use ended up with a handfull each plus sand eels and pesky weavers.Wasnt to be today with no sun either didnt help. Anchored up hoping for a tope or two gulls working our water seemed perfect until the wind picked up straight from the north again lumping up making things uncomfortable. Decided to head right back in off winterton where we sat reasonable ended up with couple of skate pictured here, lost another, few smoothounds and doggies came aboard. Handfull of dabs added to our collection and also few gurnard all returned but great to see. Not a bad day in all despite the weather, pleased to have few first timers on the Flyer, Buzz and James and also andy and Mick and regulars Shannon and john. Thanks alot lads much appreciated hope to see you all again soon.

With a varible forcast it was straight out to the newcome bank with Luke and his mates where we had been the day before with some great fishing on the flood,i was pretty sure we would only be in that area until about 12.30 as we had wind with tide up until then with plenty of Smutts on the ground and the right bait for them they were coming in steady the best going 6lb but no Rooker or Bass showed today to my supprise,we cut and run back in to a more sheltered area inside the holm bank but the wind was blowing the boat across tide which is no good so ran in the shelter of the pier a few pin Whiting to fishish the day, thanks for sticking it out boys and look forward to seeing you all again soon,Brian
