Headed out for a days fishing on Lead us yesterday with Mark and skipper Colin.
steamed along the coast for a little while to the usual spot. was a bit of wind blowing but but not much swell.
started fishing about 10am. the fish were coming in nice and steady all day some lovely codling and whiting coming aboard all day with the odd spotty dog and dab thrown in for good measure, the wind started to pick up with the turn of the tide and it became a bit bumpy fish through until 4pm and called it a day ended up with 23 nice codling around 60 whiting 3 nice sized dabs and half a dozen nice dogfish
a great days fishing with good company will defo be heading out again some time soon :)

last minute decision to grab a small weather window and head out for a days fishing with mark and ritchie aboard, we headed out to a well known mark with fish coming in from the off and steadily throughout the day ending up with 23 cod to 4lb and approx 60 whiting to 1lb an excellent day had by all View Boats Page

The summer fish are going out to the deeper water and the winter species have begun to arrive in numbers. In amongst the huge numbers of whiting and dogfish there will be cod.
The skate are still about plus lots of smallish bass in the 1-2.5 lb mark.
Now is the time to get out there and maybe get one of the big cod that should be here any time now :) View Boats Page

Plenty of thornbacks coming out lots of whiting doggys too the codling are starting to show most trips now and the first of the big cod comming out in the deeps the next few trip will show the cod are in

I have been away for a few days on a short break I went Bass fishing out of Tenby very interesting but not so good as off LT, went 5/6/7th Oct had some mixed days plenty of small Whiting and Spottys to keep us occupied but only one Small Cod on Sunday well inside off the camp plenty of good sized Whiting inside as well it looks like they are in the shallows and not in our marks that we use for the winter,had a nice 4lb Bass on Monday off the bank but only a few small Whiting and Spottys lets hope that we get a better Cod season than last,BP.

two perfect days weather and good tides prudced some great fishing from a local mark.
saturday we had 19 codling to 3lb, approx 100 whiting to 1.5lb & 20 spotties
monday 9 codling to 3lb 80+ whting and 15 spotties nice to see so many codling about so early View Boats Page

Just bringing all trips up to date. as we are on what i call change over period summer species leaving, few odd winter fish turning up, fishing a bit patchy. We now need a bit of cold to bring the cod in, have caught few small codling nothing worth a photo, the whitting getting more and more thicker soon the bigger ones should arrive. Still catching spotty dogs of all sizes amazes me how small some are this year! Most of the smoothies have left inshore only caught the odd one lately still connecting with few skate when we can get out to the banks. The strong south easterlies have scuppered most of last week and this week , pictured here is Dave Pike who also skippers the High flyer with myself with a four and half pound bass caught on whole squid. We will be doing more herring trips this year as proved very popular, people love pulling in the nets to see those silver darlings dangling, end up with a feed as well, please ask if you want to organise or be part of a herring trip and we can sort the right tide out for you. Looking forward now to winter hoping the cod season this year is a good one, we are due one! Until then tight lines everyone hope you can join me and Dave on the High Flyer at some point.

Wednesday I had 6 squadies onboard who chose to fish the 4 hours down to low water. There was lots of mockery and jest onboard but not many fish caught, infact 1 whiting and lots of crabs was all that was caught that day. The following day I headed out with just 1 man onboard for the 3 hours up to high water and he caught 3 whiting and 3 dogfish. I thimk he may have been paying more attention to his rod and we were fishing a better part of the tide for those particular tides.

Plenty of whiting and dogfish about as well as the odd hound and Thornback this weekend...and we also had the first two Cod of the season to come...lets hope they're going to arrive in numbers this year

headed out to a favoured mark close inshore to miss the strength of the big tides at the minute with a steady stream of whiting coming in through out the day wth a few other species thrown in for good measure ending up with approx 70 whiting 2 codling 2 dabs 2 eels & 10 spotties a good day had by all and nice to see some early cod View Boats Page
