Another windy day today getting fed up of this especially now June! Kept inshore again having to make the best of it, tried different spot today headed South in deeper water looking for those skate in these weak tides, still not playing ball today. Plenty of dogs and few smoothies, ended up moving close inshore and dab bashing for our special 7 year old guest Kate pictured here with some of the catch. Ended up with over 40 today , few to take back to Essex! Big thanks to Carl and Brian, Chalky, and Rob and Susan and not forgetting a very well behaved and pleasure to have aboard little Kate. weather was a bit lumpy at times , thanks for putting up with it, look forward to seeing you again. Todays wrecking trip scuppered by the weather, strong northerlys again, decided to stay inshore and be safe.
Started in the Roads to hide up only to be greeted by commercial longliner and various other craft so headed north to a little hole i use . Paid off with over 50 mixed dogs and smoothies, coming aboard , no flatties today or skate really did expect them on the weak tides today. Big thanks to Andy for sorting out the trip, much appreciated, picture of Paul Alford ,todays top angler with some of his catch. Another great trip out with Jon on Sat 1st June. There was to much wind for the wrecks but stayed inshore, still had a great day over 50 doggies caught. The coffee and tea flowing all day with biscuits and choc bars as usual. If you have never been on High Flyer i can highly recommend it , Jon is very helpful and will always try and put you on the fish. Thanks again for a great day.

out of Lowestoft on Lead Us 1st june or was it a day in a washing machine !!
headed out to the mark that had produced fish on monday with a fair breeze from the north only spotties and small smoothies coming in with the breeze picking up all the time so decided to up anchor and head south to another mark of lowestoft hoping the swell would die down when the flood started wrong ! as soon as the tide started the fish the fish began biting and continued throught out until we upped anchor and came in ending up with 17 bass to 6lb 2 thornbacks loads of spotties and smoothies 2 dabs and 1 whiting making it the best days bass fishing to on Lead Us to date and a very happy crew

The fishing has been very good just lately and many Thornback Rays are coming to the boat, and some really good Bass are showing up.
Smoothounds are a bit patchy, but this is due to the late rise in water temperature, and tobacco juice..
There have been a few big Tope caught , but again not bundles.
Things should improve after these big tides, and put a scattering of fish on the offshore marks, weather permitting....!! View Boats Page

Today we went out for 3 hours with John and his son and 2 grandsons. Issac caught the first whiting and shortly after his brother caught one too, then Issac caught a dogfish which he thought was pretty cool and then his dad, Ellio, finished with a female skate before we headed in.

out of Lowestoft on Lead Us 27th May
steamed up to a mark on a lovely sunny morning hardly a breath of wind but a very strong tide making the going slow within 5 mins of dropping the anchor jamie was into a nice thornback of 5lb 12oz with others catching the inevitable spotties then a nice bass a tadd under 4lb fell to jamies rod again, with 2 more thornbacks coming in shortly after as the tide slackened the wind picked up making things very uncomfortable and we had to run inshore to find some shelter with a few more spotties/ smoothies and a small codling rounding off the day with 4 thornbacks to 5lb 12oz , 3lb 14oz bass and numerous spoties & smoothies a small codling and 1 dab a good day had by all View Boats Page

Today was spent with the special forces pictured here see if you can recognize any of them. All fish were returned today, well done men ,nice to have a bit of conservation now and then. We ended up with having a half day down to the weather not playing ball, bit on the windy side but managed to catch about 25 spotty dogs of all sizes and one skate. Big thanks to the lads, thank you for teaching me unarmed combat skills and how to strip a SA80 in ten seconds might come in handy one day if i get attacked by Somali Pirates off Gt Yarmouth!

After a successful first ever trip on Amino two weeks ago, Arthur and crew came out for their 2nd trip and got amongst some decent fish again and a fair number of species as per yesterdays trip.
Thornback were the main species with fish to over 10lb again, plenty of LSD's (too many today!!!!!!!!!!!!), we also had 4 more Spurdogs although they were only small fish, several Smoothounds and a small Bass. We lost a decent hound at the boat (estimated 15lb+) after it had rolled on the line as well as a couple of skate that tested the kit to the max in the stronger part of the tide but with the sun blistering down and a flat calm sea, it didn't dampen the spirits too much....
I am nearly booked up for weekend trips til the end of June with the odd Sat / Sun still left so if you fancy a trip, give me a call. View Boats Page
