Report on-board High Flyer 2
Mixed bag today, break in the weather for a change, allowed us to head out after lunch to one of the banks i use when the fish are not in numbers. Previously had been in the Roads catching small codling and numerous whiting as usual. On approaching the bank noticed decent echoes on the sounder which looked hopefull. The result was some very good size whiting and flatties along with 2 cracking cod this early in the season, one 8lb the other shade over 9lb which both fell to Ian on flowing squid trace.Lovely to see as we have been waiting longer than usual . Big thank you to James for organizing the trip again, with anglers Ian,Dougy,Bruce,Dave,Ian,Steve,Clive,Les and Chris. Hope this cold spell starts the fish off with plenty more of these coming aboard, looking forward to our night time expeditions ,watch this space. Well done men, enjoyed the day ,nice result. Jon.

Report on-board High Flyer 2
Today started well with a forcast keeping us inside due to strong winds, how right they were. Full marks to the lads wasnt a easy day! Least the rain held off till late afternoon. We struggled to start fish wise but on the tide easing the whiting came on the bite. Nice size fish came aboard along with four cod during the day, all around the three pound mark. Big thank you to Valdick for organizing the lads,Raplek,Mivek,Greg,Valder,Radlek,Volmil, and Dave, apoligies for any spelling mistakes. Photo of the lads with their fish, hope you enjoyed it men, looking foward to sseing you in January.

Report on-board Amino
Out today with Jim, Andy and Pete given that the wind had subsided a little.
View Boats Page
As we ventured out, there was a fair swell running through which made things a bit difficult to start with at anchor but within a short while Andy had his rod tip pull right round resulting in a 6lb 4oz personal best Cod followed a little while after by Jim (pictured) with his new PB Cod of 7lb 4oz. Along with this there where plenty of Whiting, Jim having the best at 2lb 4oz, another personal best for him.
It slowed up a bit so we headed inshore and had a further 8 cod to 3lb, returning some of the smaller fish along with plenty of Whiting.
All in all not a bad day, with 3 PB's althiough the quality of fish wasnt there in great numbers once again.
I learnt a new tip from Andy today, casting with a fixed spool reel using the drag and not using the bail arm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hahahahaha ;-) -

Report on-board Lady Grace
I went out for just over a hour on my own in the River this morning bright and early for the first of the flood. After about 15minutes I was into a decent fish, putting up a great fight, I knew it was a cod but you can never tell how big it is until you see it as they all put up a great fight and are such fun to catch. As it got towards the surface I could see it was well hooked so I lifted it into the boat. My dad had just come out into the River and spotted me anchored up so came over to catch a glimpse of my 6.2lb cod and decided he wanted some of the action so tied his boat to my stern. After a short while we started to drift from the weight of 2 boats on one anchor so dad anchored up just beside me. We then had another boat decide to come and uptide me so the action died and I just caught a few whiting before heading in to do some work and start my boat trips. Definately worth getting up early for!

Out today with Cliff, Dave and Clive despite an 'iffy' forecast...

Although it was a fairly lumpy sea we ventured out a bit and had several Cod, biggest going 7lb with 2 others around 6.5lb, few around 2-3 and a couple of smaller ones we returned for next year. Weather deteriorated and just before moving Dave pulled in a 'little' suprise-a small Haddock of around 12oz, never had one of those before!
Moved inshore as the weather deteriorated and had a couple more smaller Codling, a few Dogfish and some Whiting, so not too bad a day given the conditions!
Here's Dave with his 7lber.
