Got away early to get the back end of the ebb in our favorite skate mark no such luck today only a few yting for our efforts moved in side off corton an hour after the tide started to flood once again plenty of yting all up to a pound i hope you enjoyed your trip Steve/Gordon and look forward to seeing you again xmas time lets hope we can find a few cod,Brian.

Out today with Mark, Jonny, Vic and Steve and had plenty of Whiting (although mainly smaller fish) as well as a Codling and loads of Dogfish!!! Thornbacks are now starting to make an appearance again, with fish to 8lb+ today.
Fairly well booked up for weekends this month although plenty of dates available still for weekdays and some weekends in November.

Thornback fishing has picked up very well seeing plenty every trip along with the odd codling here and there plenty of whiting and dogfish cod fishing will be under way very soon got plenty of pictures to upload just haven't had time due to investing in a new bigger better boat will upload soon

Conditions were not perfect so i decided to fish the north roads started by the w/holm bouy big tides did not help had a few ytings and dogs made a move on slack to get inside out of the wind and swell (as there were a few sickys) that was making things uncomfortable sat off the camp about 400yds off the beach as the tide started to ebb so did the fishing with plenty of yting coming in to the boat for all then Paul got into something a bit better a nice 5lb cod the first one of the season lets hope it carries on, an hour on and Matts 6year old son Elliot landed a nice plump 3lb cod a great days fishing for the party.

coming to the end of september and the smoothounds are leaving us but the cod are just starting to show
with some smaller ones inshore and better stamp of fish ofshore, still some nice bass coming out and thornbacks increasing in numbers as are the whiting ,got good signs for a good cod season lets wait and see, tight lines chris . View Boats Page

well forecast for today was spot on, shite this morning and improving as the day progressed. 0645 and the crew for the day turned up, a tad earlier than expected but not a problem. Kettle on, tea made and off the moorings by 0700. Just under an hour later we set the pick in a fairly brisk F4-5 NE wind, in 30ft of muddy coloured water.
15 minutes of being tossed around and the first of the target species graced our deck. A roker, all be it a little on the small side, so back over the side it went. Fishing was patchy down to low tide, but the fish were there.
As the flood started we picked up more fish, again in little runs of a couple of fish then nothing for half hour, then another couple would come on etc.
So ended the day, final tally 22 roker, 15 of which the guys kept, 20 or so doggies which i didnt think was too bad, thankfully. The fish came on both squid and herring today, worms were mauled by the whiting and dogs. All in a pretty good day and the guys that were on the boat were a good laugh especially portugese tony ( Absolutely cuckoo). View Boats Page

Not great tides this weekend- could only do single tides. Fished up river mark for a couple of hours but only had a skate and few dogs and whiting so moved down river and had a nice lot of hounds to 6.5 lb and small bass. Ended up with a reasonable amount of fish given the length of time fishing, as usual fresh peeler and hermit were the killer baits .
