Report on-board PLAN B
Feburary was a tough month with patchy results. Codling are still around and when the weather permits the fishing can be reasonable. Last weekend despite poor weather conditions we managed a few codling, whiting and some enormous dabs.

Weather has stopped us trying the lower river marks so fingers crossed we will get down there next week and see if the skate have come back. -

With the forcast not to bad and a week spent trying to find the illusive cod we decided to go back to our favourite best chance of yes you guessed Corton Roads. Fished the ebb down producing whiting straight away some nice keepers amongst them. Sea state lovely with a steady South ,South East, wind with tide until slack water, when increasing wind on the flood started to make things uncomfortable resulting in a move inshore . Ended up only a few codling very patchy this week and bagfull of nice whiting, big thanks to Martin for organizing the trip for his family,Nigel,Brendon,Mark,Johnny, Steve,Jamie, and dad David, also to regulars Harry and John, was a good day of banter hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Good luck to Steve with your tour, keep your head down, be safe. All the best men, hope to see you soon. Jon.

Report on-board Amino
February was a slow month fishing wise, with the Codling appearing to have disappeared in the numbers that were here in December and January, however with huge shoals of herrings and sprats around, its no wonder! Last week a shoal ran constantly across the finder for 20 minutes and the rods went mad rattling away with all the line bites we were getting...

However, yesterdays trip was showing some 'spring run' promise, with Jasons group landing 14 Codling, 11 of which were keepers upto 4.5lb and somewhere in the region of 20 Whiting and Pout with a few other fish lost. Lets hope the numbers that we saw before and after christmas return to give us some good sport in the next month or two.
If you're a small group of upto 5 anglers interested in a trip targeting the spring run of Codling off the East coast, give me a call. -

Tried our luck today 6 miles out on one of the banks hoping for an early bass or skate as we keep seeing the pouches floating by. Unfortunately was not to be, plenty of fish on the finder just not the biting sort! Moved about into the rip tide which still didnt produce so decided to head inshore off the roadsto catch the ebb. Ended up with one keeper cod, few decent whiting and again no flatties! Whats going on? Big thanks to my local landlord David James for organizing the trip, along with Pete,(The Winner!) Gaz,Steve,Paul and Barry , also well done to you guys for staying out till 7.00 pm you cant say we didnt try hard ! Hope to see you all again .
