    Report on-board PLAN B

    Briliant weekend.
6 Good skate on Saturday, plus loads of dogs and a small hound. All anglers aboard had personal bests.
12 Good skate on Sunday, not so many dogs and heard of a 12lb hound on a boat nearby (they had devon crab)
Plenty of fish taken in a small area, my mates on the IN-T-Net and SEEKER got the fish as well, didn't hear of much else being caught elsewhere.
Got a supply of fresh hermits starting this week, plus a couple of trawlermen who are promising lots of crinklies and peelers -so look out hounds..
Last year we averaged 30 hounds a trip.. lets hope this year is even better!!
In the picture - one of the anglers on a nice skate.. lovely blue sky, sun shining, it cannot get any better..

    Report on-board Galloper

today we had 7 individuals out with us and quite a varried crew. paul, steve and bart are well seasoned anglers and kev, greg and john are just getting into it and then ed who normally beach fishes and was out on his first boat fishing trip today. we headed out into a fair swell left over from yesterday but it was forecast to drop through the day. we started in search of some thornbacks and were catching from the first cast. by low water we had managed 10 thornbacks a few whiting and an under sized cod. it was much calmer now and we had a move over slack water in search of some cod on the flood. as we arrived the first trickle of flood was starting and the lads were getting bites from the first chuck. it wasnt long before we started to catch some codling and by the end of the day we had managed 15 codling with nine of them being sizable fish and the rest thrown back. we also saw lots of whiting, a few dogs and a couple of pout. on the last nockings we saw another thornback too which put the final tally at 11 thornback,15cod and lots of bits and pieces. it was also a pleasure to finish the day in sunshine, it wont be long before were catching summer species. for more information available dates and a weekly fishing update please visit www.essexseafishing.co.uk

  • 03/2011 Fishing Report by Paul Fitch on She Likes It Rough 2 (Shotley, Suffolk)

    Mar 2011 by Paul Fitch

Report on-board She Likes It Rough 2

    27/28/29 March

Three very different trips to end the month. With the tides dropping away this weekend we were looking for the bigger fish offshore. Saturdays trip was hindered by bad weather and limited us to inshore nether the less we managed 9 Roker to just over 9lb and a few spring codling well done Dave and your group for still fishing hard in bad conditions.
Sundays Individuals trip the weather was still not ideal but we pushed off in the hope of some bigger Cod, Fishing a mark which has normally produced better fish this time of year for us, saw us land codling up to 5lb but no Lunkers unfortunately, but everybody got amongst the fish and the afternoon turned out to be a cracker weather wise.
Monday was our first trip out to the offshore wrecks where we found the cod more than obliging to take our jelly worms and twin tails offered on the drift. Nothing huge but with well over 90 fish landed in just two hours fishing, everyone was happy and glad to get out on the distant wrecks again after the dull winter break.
The signs are there for a good wrecking season with the wrecks holding fish already and from now on the wrecking will improve steadily as the week’s progress.
If you fancy a go at the offshore wrecking off the Suffolk coast this season please get in touch.
