Report on-board Razorbill 3
The weather was sunny and flat calm, just what we need, after an hour run to the mark the first fish was a BASS of 3lb, another two smaller BASS and we moved,
The first fish was a DOGFISH....... not what we wanted but you can't pick what fish you want to catch, The next fish was a bit better, A COD of 10lb, then another of 16lb 8oz, we only had 6 COD but the smallest was the 10lb,With 10 Bass and some big WHITINGS it wasn't such a bad day!View Boats Page

Report on-board Razorbill 3
Another fine start to the day so a trip to see if we could get some BASS and SMOOTOUNDS. We arrived at the mark just at low water, The fishing was slow and with only one small THORNBACK,Then John had a bite, a fine 6lb 4oz BASS, two other anglers had another two BASS of 4lb and small THORNBACK, Fishing was slow so we moved to another mark, As soon as we cast out we were in to fish, a THORNBACK of 8 1/2lb. Fishing was steady with THORNBACKS and DOGFISH, Total for the day 9 THORNBACKS, 3 BASS, 1 SMOOTHOUND and DOGFISH.

Report on-board Razorbill 3
It was good to see that the weather was on the change, The wind has been stuck in the N East for two weeks, We can still get out but it restricts where you can go it's just as well that we can still get some good fishing close inshore,
The day started with the wind in the N East about 3/4 and by the end of the day it was in a warmer South and decreased,The fishing was not fast but steady with 18 THORNBACKS to 8 1/2lb around 25 SMOOTHHOUNDS but they were all small ( i would think that the bigger ones are just offshore) and about a MILLION DOGFISH, Well maby not a million but more than enough, It kept the anglers busy all day.View Boats Page

Report on-board PLAN B
Fished Saturday 8th May , poor conditions but keen to get out and give the boat a good run.
went to a mark on the maplin sands and caught skate sporadically during the day, the anglers mostly freshwater carp men all managed at least a skate each, best fish was an 11lb skate with about 10-15 being released to fight another day.
A few doggies and a couple on tiny hounds made the total haul, but considering the weather and lack of experience a good days fishing was had by all.

Report on-board She Likes It Rough 2
SAT 17th/SUN 18TH APRIL
Big tides this weekend it’s to early for Bassing so it saw us ground fishing for Roker and cod. A good couple of days fishing really, Sat we ended up with 13 Roker to 11lb 8oz and 10 cod all within the 4- 8lb bracket. Sunday brought us much the same with 17 Roker to 9lb and 6 Cod, again fish of the 4-8lb stamp.
THURS 22nd APRIL
Another Offshore wrecking trip unfortunately not as good as couple of weeks ago. We have been hit with a bad case of May weed or ‘ Baccy weed:’ as it is known this colours the water up and makes fishing a lot harder . Never the less after much hard work and travelling we managed to find clearer water and a wreck which held some fish we landed over 30 cod no big uns but not a bad day all in all.
SAT 24TH APRIL
Due to Thurs wrecking trip not being as productive as we had hoped, we decided to bottom fish again today. It proved to be the right choice with an excellent day had by all. In total we landed nearly 40 cod to 12lb 8oz with another five low doubles thrown in. The size of the fish today was superb with the rest of the fish all being in 6-9lb range. Lets hope this fishing and weather stays with us for another week or two!
Our offshore bassing trips will be starting soon once the baccy weed has cleared. Still plenty of mid week trips available so get in contact if you fancy a trip.View Boats Page

Report on-board Razorbill 3
After the good trip i had yesterday, today was a wake up call! Easterly winds and lots of rain, Welcome back.... The party made the choise to go and have a look and as we went down the coast it wasn't that bad but it was raining heavy and in the end the rain made them give up, so we only had 3 THORNBACKS and some DOGFISH.

Report on-board Razorbill 3
The weather on Saturday was cool to start but bright, I have been away for what should have been a weeks holiday in Florida but the nice people in Iceland made me stay for an extra 10 days, How bads is that! so it was back to the spring fishing on the East Coast, I had a party of five and almost from the first cast we were in to THORNBACKS, we fished the last of the ebb and all the flood and had 47 THORNBACKS to 10 1/2 lb. Not bad for my first trip back.
