Well the summer season slowing down now time to hit them Bass for a Few weeks good numbers comming in 140 last trip to 4.5lb
plenty of rays about again !! not too far away and hopfully hitting the COD!! Had about 20 odd codling to 8.5lb recently so things are looking good !! Some of the fish this weekend on Lead Us Charters, Lowestoft fishing trips
A good mixture of fish this weekend smoothounds upto 8lb thornbacks to 6,5lb lots of spotties some good whiting and an eel.
I felt sorry for Bob who after a really hard fight with a fish we didnt see only to be lost when his line parted which i do think was a big Ray
And great on Sunday morning to see my grandson Oscar catch his first Ray on his first trip

The weather has been very unsettled over the last few weeks but it is finally settling down and this has allowed us to get offshore for the Bass.
We have had some cracking fish with the best at over 8lb, these fish are shoaling up on the offshore banks before moving south for the winter, now is the best time of the year for us to target them before they go, best baits are worm and squid.
There are good numbers of thornbacks showing in all areas offshore and a few starting to show inshore now as well, these fish are a good size although thinner because they have spawned, best baits are squid and fish.
The whiting are showing up in all areas although inshore is best, especially along the shoreline off of Walton and Clacton, best baits are squid, lug and mackerel.
Most of the smoothounds have moved off although there are plenty of smaller ones further offshore, the bigger ones have gone quite early this season with the drop in sea temperature, however this might be a good sign for the cod.
Talking of which, hopes are high that we might see some cod this winter, certainly there are some on the south coast already and sea temperatures are down on this time last year so keep everything crossed and keep checking social media for the latest reports.

Plenty of Skate coming into the boat plus the return of Bass a friend of mine had a 10lb fish last trip,the Whiting are putting in a show to keep you busy with some nice fat fish to start the season off,Hounds are still showing and last Saturday we had 2 Black Dog on the boat,4 spaces now left for Sunday17th trip,BP.

Well its been a poor start weather wise to September cant remember ever such windy conditions most trips have been keeping us inshore. Despite that plenty of fish mainly on the small side to be honest plagued with small spotty dogs some trips others picked up few skate with some of the last remaining smoothounds before they go one or two nice sizes. Havent been able to get to the bass banks so hence no recent photos not worth photographing the odd small schoolie were getting but great to see our future stocks present. The whiting starting to come in in numbers now those anglers keeping a few have been about 35cm plus the limit of 27cm i think is too small personally, pretty soon they will become a serious pain as always but it all adds to the sport. Reports of codling from further south is good news so hopefully wont be too long before they visit us need some cold weather to start , leaves off the trees and ice on the windscreens cant wait myself! Next report will cover our new vessel should be operational in next week when will fill you in on details and pictures. Until then tight lines everyone.

Well, the fishing to date has been consistent with good number of Rays, Bass and Hounds, the Mackerel have done a disappearing act sadly... but must not complain as we hsave had a good run this year.
With the bigger Bass about to start massing off shore, it would be a good time to think about booking up a trip or three,
Hopefully the weather will calm down and let us make those off-shore trips to the outer marks where the magic happens not seen so many Plaice this year...... must have caught them all last year..lol

A great day for Paul's stag day on Lead Us
After a last minute call the night before due to a cancellation we were heading out for Paul's stag day fishing trip. With big tides running I headed north to the shallower waters off Corton and the fish soon started coming in, lots of spotties some very nice sized whiting approx 50 and 5 nice smoothounds between 5.5lb and 8lb. Bringing us up to date had adverse weather one day flat calm next northerly wind! Pulled few codling on inshore wrecks nice to see, couple of coalfish which we rarely see here , lost few tope runs as well this week bit frustrating.! The pouting and whitting bit of a pain at times the mackerel have broken up a bit due to lots of cable laying where we normally go least thats my theory as affected the sandeels as well to be honest. Right inside we been getting few skate bit on the small side all returned of course along with spotty dogs of all sizes. The whitting making a showing now so here to stay no doubt till march April so just have to put up with it! when we can been nipping out to bass banks getting few decent fish as you can see most fish returned only couple of deep hooked fish kept well done lads for conservation. Still be trying for last tope next month then they go, soon be autumn looking forward to a cold winter with bit of luck need our cod to visit this year fingers crossed. New vessel coming next week ashould be operational then details and pictures to follow. Leave with this picture of angler fish i believe one of the lads threw at us off commercial boat looks like someone i one dated! Tight lines everyone.
