    Report on-board Cleveland Princess

The last two trips out have been mixed bags With some decent Cod showing it has brightened the prospects up for the coming season and my 2016 Heaviest COD competition and at just £2.00 to enter and a chance to win a £100 and a free trip out, the two best fish so far have been 6lb and 7lb respectively with a few smaller ones running with them, for some reason were still getting the odd Rooker and a few Spotty Dogs plus a multitude of Whiting and some nice fat Dabs,The weather has been against us for the last few days and the trips had to be canceled but i am sure when the chance arises to get out to some of our marks on the banks we will find some Doubles have a great new year all and look forward to see some familiar faces in 2016,Brian/Paul.

To bring you up to date, few pics of last day of December 2015 catches mixed bag of doggies still, few pouting, only 3 codling landed today , one skate for Will returned of course, and those whitting still but not so many thank god!

Few codling making an appearance , water temperature dropping now slightly ,praying for cold weather first bit of ice on the truck today! I know all weekends booked in January on High Flyer, Feb places still available hoping we get a run down east coast here it could all go mad who knows so do get in so as not to miss out. If you need to get out January still ring might be able to find you another local boat or swap people around, always places midweek will make a trip up if we can. Hoping for a better year in 2016 no freaky weather patterns get back to normality! See you all soon once you nursed those new year hangovers!

All the best. Jon (High Flyer)

Happy new year chaps, see you in 2016... when I hope this blooming wind subsides

    Report on-board Seawatch1

Not much to report this month, like most boats we have been kept in port a lot with the constant storms. On the odd days we have been out the fishing has been a bit slower on the cod front with vast shoals of herring keeping the fish preoccupied, but we have found a few along with several thornback Rays and numerous whiting and dogfish, hopefully the weather will settle down soon and allow us to look offshore for some better fishing.
I would like to wish all my customers and others using this site a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year, all the best Lester

    Report on-board Vanishing Point-2

Hi guys, this Christmas greeting goes out to all my fellow professional charter boat skippers, that I have had not only the pleasure to work with out in the Thames Estuary, from the Blackwater, Mersea, Brightlingsea, River Crouch, Two Tree Island, Canvey, and those I speak too from Ramsgate... Hi Tony, and to the many who share our love of Sea Fishing, in what ever form you choose.. be it, Pier, boat, shore fishing, Have a fantastic Christmas and lets all hope (weather wise...) a better new year, Merry Christmas too you all..... just a few photos to remind us all at this time of year, some poor people are much worse off than we are.
These were taken a few years ago in Furness Golf club,
in Barrow in Furness, where the committee asked me and Nicola could help raise some money for a local school with special needs that had serve wind and flood damage, as they had no funding..!!, and as Nicola worked for years with special needs children, it was a no brainier, with
C winds help, we raised a staggering £1,500.00 for the kids in one evening... so Merry Christmas to all our friends in Barrow in Furness,,!!
and all out fishing friends.... From Terry & Nicola..... Vanishing Point-2

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

Well today was one of them days when everything went wrong, alot of bad language involved, seagulls covering their ears, bit of light bucket kicking, good job my mum couldnt hear me but cause of the problem was mainly due to the fact of my phone going overboard with the loss of all my contacts, fishing customers, suppliers etc and those photos that cant be replaced. Bit concerned if any delinquent flounders decide to ring any 0898 numbers and rack up my bill will have to wait and see and for those who i can hear saying didnt you back them up like techcy nerds do , no i bloody didnt. So lesson learned new phone , same number, learning how to back up hopefully which brings me to the important bit.

    Report on-board PLAN B

Fishing remains much the same when the weather lets us get out.
Still plenty of skate around and a few codling - the whiting numbers have dropped so hopefully if the weather is kind should see a lot more cod
I have some weekends free in the new year - before the boat comes out for its annual service and repaint.

This report covers the 13th December trip for the boys from SLP with a break in the weather i ran out to the Holm Bank hoping to find some Cod but only Whitings and Dabs appeared we stuck it out till slack water then moved inside off the ministry,we started off with Whitings again they are all over at the moment with a few decent size ones showing with so many Whiting around at the moment its hard to find other species but John had a bit of a tug on his rod that turned out to be the best fish of the day a nice 5lb7oz Rooker you never know whats lurking down there well all and look forward to seeing you all in the new year,Brian.
