25/03/2011 a last minute booking proved to be a great day out for andy,allen,&graham we headed to out side the barnard where with a flat calm sea rooker were the target but still a bit early as yet down our end but two nice fish came to the boat andy with a 8.5lb cod & paul with a 15lber with a dab and a few yting a good day was had by all see you all soon bp

Dougy, Julian and Steve on board today...good days fishing once we had moved to our second spot and the lads had cod to 5lb, Whiting to 1lb and Thornbacks to 7.5lb. the sun was out and the sea calm so added to make a great day out!
Some boats that ventured further offshore had some good cod to 17lb although these fish are not there in great numbers. There appear to be more smaller fish inshore and fewer, but better fish further off - so if you are considering booking a trip, this is worthwhile considering. View Boats Page

A slight south westerly breeze and a perfect blue sky was the backdrop for an amazing days fishing for a land lubber used to drowing worms from the beach. We started fishing on the end of the flood tide and my companions started to get to some knocks and it wasn't long before the first fish of the day was caught. We fished all day, Colin supplied excellent tackle and quality bait. I can't thank Colin and Paul enough for making this a really excellent day out, the quality of our catch on the day was equally matched by the friends that I made and Lead Us is a sound vessel that sits well in the water.

The cod appear to have made a return-FINALLY! Sunday 20th March, customer Gary Ward and crew had 16 Codling to 4lb and plenty of Whiting to 1lb 8oz and some big Pout. Good days fishing and great banter as usual! Cheers fellas :-)

Want to say a big thanks to Paul and Steve of She Likes It Rough 2 for a great trip last Sunday the 20th March.
We've been waiting for the Spring Cod run in East Anglia for weeks as the herring and Sprats have been causing havock.
Paul had recommended this weekend a couple of months ago and he was right - we went south from Shotley to fish off Frintonand had a great day with over 40 fish caught, 30 plus were keepers.
Three of our party were novices and Paul and Steve rose to the challenge with sympathy and expertise - and here's a pic of Dave the butcher with the first fish he's ever caught. View Boats Page

17/03/2011 My Corton church mark has produceds the goods again John&Dave had a better trip this time out with a nice lot of cod to take home we ended up with 15 cod to 4.5lbs a few yting and our first spotty dog of the season & a few welks for good measure our favorate bait was working well loligo (squid) se you all soon B/P.

headed out to the same mark we fished saturday, hoping for a repeat performance fishing was a bit slower but we ended up with 8 cod to 4lb. highlight of the day was seeing the 9 year old lad reel in his first cod of 3.5 lb weed was a pain on the ebb but a good day had by all

07/03/2011 Had a good day today with Brad and James catching some nice cod/yting 5 cod to 4lb and 14 yting one coming in at just under 2lb fishing on a rough bit of ground off corton church with a s/e 4--5 and a flood tide things were a bit lumpy on the flood this tide fishes the best on this mark at the moment hope you enjoyed your fish and chips at The Sailors Home Kessingland,see you all soon BP.

headed out with graham and nigel on board to the same mark we had success on last time not expecting too much as reports had not been that good, we started early to catch the last of the flood and within 30 minutes of starting the cod started coming nigel with the first and then steadily until slack water went it went quiet until the tide turned and they started coming in again until time to head in a good day had by all
