SUNDAY 13TH JUNE
Today was a trip to the offshore banks to fish for the bass. Four individuals made up the trip. First up we had to catch some launce our chosen bait for the day. Using small Sabikis and shrimp rigs we soon had enough for the trip. Using the launce as livebait we set about catching some bass. Just on the one tide we fished they landed over 30 bass between them ranging between 2.5lbs up to 9.lbs couldn’t hit the magic double figure fish today but some good size bass were caught with the majority in the 4-7lb range. On the way in the lads wanted to try for some cod. I didn’t hold out much hope, as we have not been catching much off these inshore wrecks this year yet. But I hadn’t fished this one yet so we gave it a go. The little trawler came up trumps. After only 30 minutes they all had 5 cod each. all ranging between 3-8lb so a nice end to a good days fishing.

FRI 4TH/SAT 5TH JUNE
Friday saw an individuals trip out to the wrecks. Over 40 cod were landed with the biggest falling to Robin Turpin with a fish of 13lb 8oz. The fish are still of real good quality but unfortunately are not on all the wrecks out there. Again the uncharted wrecks produced all the fish but a nice surprise today was a bass of 7lb 6oz for Ian. Which is unusual, as we don’t see bass on the wrecks till a bit later in the month.
Saturday’s trip again was out to the distant wrecks. Much the same as Friday really for the party of five, best fish was a tad smaller than yesterday at 13lb landed by Tony Gossage but the quality was superb again with 10-15 low doubles again. A small Ling of 6lb was also caught today. Pollock seemed to have disappeared for a bit we only landed a couple over the weekend but normally put in an appearance again a bit later in the year. 27/05/2010 what a great day conditions were near perfect we put the pick down about 4mile off town on a mark that somtimes comes up with the goods as you can see the fishing was very good with a good assortment,cod,rooker.bass,whiting,dabs,and a bus load of smothes&dogs, sarah had the biggest cod of the day weighing 7lb,paul&mick had a nice pair of rookers weighing 18lb the two,we finished up with 60lb of gutted fish great company great fishing look forward to seeing you all again,brian/paul.

Our first wrecking trip for a while mainly due to the baccy weed and excellent ground fishing recently. Today saw five of us push out in search of Cod and Pollock. Some of the wrecks are still not producing but a favourite uncharted wreck did us proud again. Water has improved dramatically with water visibility well over 10m and no sign of the baccy weed. Fishing was outstanding with fish of real good quality coming aboard. The biggest cod of the day fell to David Woolnough with a fine fish of 18lb. Closely followed with a cod of 16lb 8oz for Chris Woods. I got among the fish and landed a cod of 14lb 8oz. Nearly twenty double figure cod were caught today out of a haul of over 80 fish. The rest of the catch was made up of a lot of cod 8lb plus. We did get among the Pollock with fish up to 9lb being caught.
The quantity and quality of the fish we had today I have not seen personally for six years! View Boats Page

SAT 17th/SUN 18TH APRIL
Big tides this weekend it’s to early for Bassing so it saw us ground fishing for Roker and cod. A good couple of days fishing really, Sat we ended up with 13 Roker to 11lb 8oz and 10 cod all within the 4- 8lb bracket. Sunday brought us much the same with 17 Roker to 9lb and 6 Cod, again fish of the 4-8lb stamp.
THURS 22nd APRIL
Another Offshore wrecking trip unfortunately not as good as couple of weeks ago. We have been hit with a bad case of May weed or ‘ Baccy weed:’ as it is known this colours the water up and makes fishing a lot harder . Never the less after much hard work and travelling we managed to find clearer water and a wreck which held some fish we landed over 30 cod no big uns but not a bad day all in all.
SAT 24TH APRIL
Due to Thurs wrecking trip not being as productive as we had hoped, we decided to bottom fish again today. It proved to be the right choice with an excellent day had by all. In total we landed nearly 40 cod to 12lb 8oz with another five low doubles thrown in. The size of the fish today was superb with the rest of the fish all being in 6-9lb range. Lets hope this fishing and weather stays with us for another week or two!

29/04/2010 what a great day we had a nice bit of fish from a couple of marks that we use,it was the first time that jim has been with us he will certanly come again we finished up with 2 bass to 5lb, 7 rooker to 9lb, 5 cod between 5lb--8lb and a splattering of dogs and hounds for good measure,the forcast is not to good for the weekend with north/eastlys coming in to 7 sorry lads theres not a lot i can do about the weather,to all you fishermen/women who read the reports if you get let down by charter boats out of our area give me a call i will try and help you out if i can at least i will tell you if i am not going through mechanical or weather tight lines,bp.

25/04/2010 We left harbour at 6.00am and steamed to a mark off sizewell that we had fished before, with the tide on the flood it took us just over an hour,it was flat calm with a nice bit of sunshine in for good measure we had 8 nice cod between 5lb/8lb we decided to head back half way through the ebb and fish the last 2 hours on our 4 mile mark for a skate,no skate but we had 4 more cod about the same size not a bad day,i would like to thank Geoge/Andy/steve for coming in at short notice great company,see you all soon bp.

18/04/2010 fished on the maria rosa again today things were very slow only 1x8lb cod,1xwhitting,&1xspotty dog, we moved inside a bit but it was much the same very slow & no fish, after a couple of hours we had another move on an area that is usally pretty good a fast ebbing tide didnot help produced only a few line bites,the weather was great and the company well done Mark your picture is on the wall thanks for a great day lads hope to see you all again,bp.

SAT 10TH APRIL
Our first Pollock of the season were caught. A successful trip landing 20 Pollock biggest fell to Stevie at 11lb 8oz with another couple pushing 9lb also being caught. Most fish fell to sidewinder lures and jellyworms. No big cod as yet on the wrecks biggest on the day was 8lb but plenty were caught. As the month progresses we should see the clearer water pushing closer in to us, and hopefully some better cod thrown in as well. View Boats Page

07/04/2010,Sea was flat calm to good a oppitunity to miss we headed out to a wreck the Maria Rosa lying in 120ft and 10 mile off Kessingland we had 10 cod to 13lb and missed 5 just not hooking them selfs,
10/04/2010 Another nice day plenty of sunshine and allmost perfect conditions we took a party of 4 went on the 6 mile contour for 3 hours nothing showing moved inside to the E/B plenty of nice whitting and only one cod of 5lb came to the boat, the cod seem to be holding around the Southwold/Dunwich area and are not moving north like they have done before,the first of the rooker have shown a freind of ours had a nice 8lb fish on thursday well done Nick,tight lines bp.
