STILL A LOT OF BASS, SMOOTHOUNDS AND SKATE AROUND AT THE MOMENT.
ALSO DOVER SOLES ABOUT AT DUSK.
WE WILL BE OFFERING 4 HOUR DUSK BASSING TRIPS AS OF FRIDAY 21ST AUGUST. AN IDEAL TIME TO FILL UP THE FREEZER WITH THOSE BARS OF SILVER. COST WILL BE £30 A HEAD FOR THE TRIP. CAN DO ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. PLEASE CALL FOR MORE DETAILS.

TOOK A PARTY OUT TODAY AND FISHED IN SOME SCRUFFY WEATHER, NOT TO BAD THOUGH AS PARTY HAD A GOOD DAY OUT WITH SMOOTHOUND TO 11 POUNDS ON THE BOAT.
EXCELLENT DAY OUT WITH EXCELLENT COMPANY - THANKS LADS FOR ANOTHER MEMORABLE DAY OUT.

WENT OUT 5 MILES TODAY OFF THE SECOND CONTOR ONTO THE 'M1' FOR A FEW HOURS.
WATER WAS VERY CLEAR AND THERE ARE STILL A LOT OF GOOD SIZED SMOOTHOUNDS ABOUT ALONG WITH THE BEST BASS WE HAVE SEEN IN MANY YEARS.
SKATE/ROKER ARE ABOUT THIS YEAR IN MUCH GREATER NUMBERS WITH SOME VERY NICE DOUBLES IN THE PACKS.
THE TOPE ARE ALSO AROUND AS WE HAD 2 DECENT LAST WEEK WITH ONE COMING IN AT 32 1/2 POUNDS AND ANOTHER AT JUST OVER 18 POUNDS.
BRILL/TURBOT HAVE STARTED TO SHOW ON THE INSHORE BANKS WHICH IS UNUSUAL BUT GOOD NEWS FOR THE AREA
EBB TIDES ARE LOOKING TO BE THE BEST BET FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS WITH THE BASS. THEY ARE TENDING TO FEED MUCH HARDER ON THE EBB AND ONLY LIGHT UPTIDING GEAR IS NEEDED, AND CAN BE SUPPLIED ON THE BOAT.
ALSO FOUND ANOTHER 8 NEW WRECKS THIS WEEK WHICH ARE HOLDING A GOOD STAMP OF FISH, WE WILL BE TRYING THESE OUT VERY SOON OVER THE NEXT WEEK OR SO.
THE NEXT FEW WEEKS ARE LOOKING VERY PROMISING WITH THE FISHING PICKING UP.INTENSLEY FORM NOW UNTIL THE COD COME BACK IN SEPTEMBER. View Boats Page

A successful day off the Harwich coast targetting thornies,14 in total upto 10 pounds, a few codling and far to many spotties also some early smoothounds ,looking forward to the bigger ones showing up later on. View Boats Page

Breezy day ,end of season cod fishing , hopes were not high ! How wrong i was, best days cod fishing i've had in years if not ever ! Skipper came up trumps with 4 of us catching 50 + cod upto 10 pounds , and a bonus hard fighting Spurdog weighing in at 15 pounds 8 oz . good quality squid provided by the boat accounted for all the catch and to round it off bacon butties and as much tea as you could drink, what more could you want ! Cant wait for the next trip , looking to target one of those big dogs or hit into some thornies . HAPPY DAYS !!!!

still fishing extreamly well inshore,two people caught over 30 codling between them for 4 hes fishing last weds,fished well again on weds of this week,there is weed about in places but nothing to worry about.

for the last 3 weeks we have been getting plenty of good size codling and dabs,a few whiting and the occasional small bass,all from marks inshore.
