knowing there was fish on the grounds we set off for the down tiding as the weather was poor, again working round the ground we had good cod, break in the weather we shot off to the wrecks better stamp fish over 80 fish for the boat all anglers had good bag to take home

weather report was strong winds westerly, so inshore ground down tiding was the name of the game, we had good morning fishing working round the grounds over 40 fish cod for the boat 3-6lbs day was cut short steamed in at 13:00 as the wind was gusting 40mph.

fishing remains excellent with up to 100 fish being taken each trip even in breezy conditions, and ray miller of heaton newcastle taken a nice cod of 15.5lbs -

another cracking day on the wrecks with well over a 100 fish being taken mainly cod, with norman storey of south shields taken the best at 10.5lbs. with ling to 9lbs. and colin donnely taking 18 fish. and most anglers taking 8-10 fish each, in lovely flat seas, was a gorgeous day. with a nice sign of fish for early april

Thursday the 2nd of April was the first trip for 2015,Chris Mullarky caught the first fish a clean Codling about two and a half to three pounds (see Photo ). The fish was caught on an orange sidewinder on a flowing trace.

Ian Ragg caught 6 Codlings and Hilton Cox caught the biggest fish of the day a 41/2 to 5lb Codling on cooked prawns. In total there were approximately 20 Codlings between 2lb to 3lb average of which there were about 12 fish kept. Sea conditions were light North westerly winds with up to 2 meters of ground swell at times.
Although the fish were small at least we did not blank on the first trip.
Saturday 4th April
The fishing was much the same as Thursday with the best fish being a 4lb 12oz Codling caught on Mackerel strip. -

Good day fishing on the Blueye 2, slow start in the morning however skipper went to one his marks hour steam from 13:00 till 17:00 we had 80 plus cod ling all anglers had good bag fish

Nice codlings off the hard ground, wrecks starting to fish cod up to 10lbs and the odd ling taking squid !!!
