Hi All
View Boats Page
fishing here at Hartlepool continues to be excellent with most marks producing some great sport and quality fish
most anglers are taking good bags of fish home for the table mostly around the 4lb mark and some better specimens and all the small 1.5lbers been returned but these fish are fighting fit and give a good account of themselves
here is one of our anglers showing off his 16lber caught on sat 28 June on baited lures
well done him -

its a canny haul to the preferred fishing area of the day,so a partway stop was welcomed, not to mention the abundant supply of large mackerel present, especially for me as i had left my bait in the freezer!!!
so was faced with the possibility of scrounging bait!!!
anyhoo we arrive!!! one of te recent very sucessful catching method has been a hartlepool ripper worked very vigorously and unbaited.
well i give this a try for 10 minutes i thinks, after that i be too tired, gets a fish after 5mins,i try again 21 fish and several hours later(home time) this jock is kaput.many fish returned many lost too.
other anglers did not go without either prawn squid makkie all taking fish best fish of the day was 9lb many 4/5/6lbers
so tired but with hearts full of glee home we went, all anglers happy and skipper tired too after a day on the net.thanks for the day jim -

in line with the vessels name, lee did some wandering to eventually put us on fish---conditions kept us inshore on this day-with fish taking anything sent down to them although pink hokkis seemed to have the edge--as always in fishing some had more and some had less--i had 3 to keep 2 to put back and at least a doz "missed" bites--one lad was catching 3 and 2 at a time--so all in all a bit of a lumpy day--but enjoyable.
cant fish without a mention for Karl, the crewman, helpful guy --even offered to carry this old geezers gear up to the car cheers Karl---and Lee
