Early frosty start to the day 8 onboard caught mostly whiting 20+ cod caught.
Going out again Saturday 6 spaces need filling we will be going Out at midday to return Approx 21:30.

After a ruff 6 wks of dramas nightmares and headaches Ladyhelen is finally on the mend I haven't been able to take any bookings as boat has been out of action :( but after a few few wks of hard work see is ready to get back out fishing !!!! Any1 who's been out onladyhelen will no there in for great day out weather you catch fish or not !!! Which is very rare on Ladyhelen pics and reports will prove that !! Flat calm wet day , but the fishing was hotter than the weather, fished the end of the river lots of big Dabs and Whiting and two Dogfish , looking forward to the next trip, thanks lads

Jan 2017 1st set of tides complete
This winter has produced more double figure Cod for us than any other year. We have had days when we have landed plenty of Cod and Whiting with the odd Thorn back ray.we have found that once the tide rises to over 29ft it use to be 28.5 ft t the flow on the river is too much for people to hold bottom and there is a lot of debris in the water ,the river seems to have alteredslightly and a 29ft is fishable on the flood although the numbers of fish are less and the tangles increase.
Most of our fish have fallen to lug and squid cocktail below is a 13lbs 8oz Cod caught on Linas trip

A good day on wave dancer Saturday 07th. We sat in thick fog of pluckinton buoy less than 100 meters apart from girl gray who we couldn't see. Fishing was gradual with mostly cod (43) and whiting (50) and a couple of dabs for good measure.

Another great 6 hour trip with Colin, 8 on boat fishing the ebb tide.
8 Cod caught the best one weighing 15 pounds and the rest between 3and 6 pounds.
Plenty of whiting over a pound to many to count. All in all an excellent days fishing. View Boats Page

Ste Dalton and Girl Gray played a blinder on the 29th Dec-16. My step son and his dad aced this Monster which maybe the biggest cod of 2016 for the Mersey, this river is really getting better and better. It was 18lb 3oz and around 1m long.
The weather was great the bait (provided by Ste was top drawer) and the craic was only topped by the cod-beast.
Highly recommend a trip with Ste on the Girl Gray, we will be out again soon. Tight lines guys. View Boats Page
