Bass have arrived in numbers taking hokkai and feathers also mackerel when the water clears sufficiently. Skate numbers are still holding up with up to 6 fish being landed in a day. Smoothounds are here now with fish up to 12lb taking squid or live prawns when we can get them. Len landed this beauty on a single prawn.

A chance to test out the new deck lights yesterday evening and two family groups on board. First couple of hours was very slow then the Smoothounds decided to feed, plenty of squid and peeler onboard and the action started. Some nice hounds came up and three people broke their Smoothound virginity. Weather was nice if a ted chilly in the breeze. If you fancy a trip whole day or evening Jason on 07966273650 or Dawn on 07854772314.

Thanks for putting us on the fish. Hard work on your part but your efforts paid dividends.
The day was targeting Bream though in recent weeks the Bream have’nt shown in any numbers or size so no one place was fishing well.
We moved three times in as many hours as no one spot was producing.
We anchored and during slack drifted with a couple of Bream at the start of the drift.
Tide turned. We anchored and BAM we hit the Bream. Some very nice males just shy of 3lbs with many round the 2lbs. Lasted for an hour or so and ended as quickly as it had started. Fantastically powerful fish on light tackle and smiles all round. Result.
We moved again and ended the day with Smoothound, dogger, Rays and Bream.
