Report on-board Yellowfin
August has been a good month for fishing inshore and offshore on wrecks and ground fishing marks, on the inshore fishing Plaice bream mackerel gurnards smoothhounds been caught, on the wrecks more fish been caught anchored up with bait, rather than drifting over with lures, Turbot and Brill fishing has been good on one trip just under 30 turbots and 1 brill caught, Paul Walker catching his first Turbot of 9lb 6oz, And Calvin caught his first Brill, so if you want to catch some lovely turbot give me a call and make a booking.

Report on-board Duke IV
The inshore Skate fishing remains good with some large female fish around, with fresh Mackerel the bait of choice. The weather has been generally good allowing us offshore although the inshore fishing has been better with plenty of Smoothounds when crab bait is available, they will also take squid or cuttle bait.

Bass fishing is improving with the big girls following the mackerel shoals, now is the time to fish the big mackerel baits, battle through the Doggies to land the fish of a lifetime.
Last weeks individuals trip turned up some fine fish with Lee landing 4 good Hounds to 8lb along with a nice Tub Gurnard on crab bait while Jamie's group landed 5 Skate to 9lbs on mackerel strips.
The offshore wreckfishing is slowing with just a few Cod & Pollack, maybe the unusually warm water is getting too much for the coldwater loving Cod. A visit offshore yesterday showed improvement with Richards group landing a good haul of Cod & Pollack to double figures on jellyworms and shads along with Jumbo Mackerel on the banks. The best of the Pollack being a shade under ll lb. The water will soon cool and a fresh run of Cod should arrive for the autumn wreck fishing as they move inshore for the winter.
Weekday and some weekend dates still available for groups and individuals so give me a call and come fishing off Ramsgate before this glorious summer ends. -

At last the weather has been kind and fishing has been rewarding. We have been busy with the mackerel trips during the week with good fishing on the banks and wrecks, at the weekends with catches of codling and Pollack, the the banks have produced Turbot and Brill, inshore has been disappointing with small fish of all species, we look forward to bigger and better.

Report on-board Ocean Warrior 3
This week the weather has been great with a calm sea and some hot sunshine.

There are still some Cod and Pollock around along with some nice Conger showing. The biggest eel this week went to Nick Pelling which weighed 62lb. All the Conger's caught this week have been returned back to sea alive (as is always the case on Ocean Warrior 3). The biggest Bull Huss caught this week was 10lb of which was also returned back to sea alive.
On the inshore fishing marks there have been some nice Black Bream and lots of Plaice still showing.
Looks like the weather is looking good and lets hope it continues for us all to get in some great fishing.

The fine weather has reached Ramsgate at last and the fish are arriving with it.
Skate Bass and good Mackerel fishing are on the menu along with a few Smoothounds.
Students From Royal Alexander & Albert School enjoyed the day aboard Duke IV with Mackerel, Doggies and a couple of large Skate giving Matt and Bailey a good workout. Josh and Paul were busy all day with Mackerel and Doggies with all the team catching plenty of fish.
Friday saw us out on the wrecks with a good haul of plump Cod to double figures favouring the shads to the jellies with Will landing the best Cod that was also the lst of the day at a shade under l2lb. A short stop at the banks on the way home drifting worm saw Will land a fine Plaice with a few Mackerel to go with it. Saturday saw us wrecking again with similar results along with more Pollack.
Gemmas group came fishing yesterday looking for fish for a bbq, they went home with a cooler box filled to the brim with Bass, Mackerel and a couple of Skate so not much room for the steaks!
With the Mackerel and shoaling School Bass now here in good numbers this is the time for the big Bass that will be looking for mackerel baits.
Pic shows Marcs group with some of Saturdays Cod.
Still dates available on Duke IV for groups or individuals!
