This sunday fishing picked up with quite a few pollock being caught all male fish up to 11b hen fish are still absent I think due to spawning. The fishing will then pick up when spawning is over

Fishing very hard but a few good pollock landed, most fish i think are spawning they will come back after and the fishing will pick up

left port at 6.30am to miss getting stuck on my birth in a 7 meter tide.Had a great day Pollock came most of the day, every one caught fish we had over 35 on the day most in double figures

We went to sea at last a break in the weather on Saturday Pollock were in good numbers and feeding well, many fish over 14b landed by first time anglers, then the weather increased and we returned early to port.

We have managed to get out fishing this week, following some rubbish weather this year so far!
Just a big thank you to my anglers for their understanding of the new 'Bass Law', this week. They have been fully co-operative to returning all of the Bass to sea alive. We did catch quite a lot of Bass this week so this has meant a lot to me for their co-operation.
There has also been some good sized Pollock caught this week as well on the offshore wrecks of which at least they had something to take home! They were all good sized double figured in weight.

Let's hope for some good spring weather to come and some good fishing for all!!

Cod are still in good numbers on the wrecks and banks off shore Plaice are fishing well inshore

Caught 100 plus Cod between 7 anglers drifting and anchored. Personal catch between myself and my Ron Lainchbury 35 Cod over 200lbs of Cod!!

Fishing is still producing cod in good numbers up to 12ibs and a few pollock. Good signs for the following months

An early start allowed Dave to pilot the Ocean Warrior past the first shipping lane, the separation zone and the next shipping lane to get to the targeted wreck. As soon as we dropped three rods bent over double and each successive more and more rods hooked up to cod.
It got to the point where Dave’s positioning over the wreck meant we didn’t even hit bottom before we were into fish. Cracking day with countless cod and a few Pollack. One angler even managed a 6lb Tub Gurnard on a sidewinder lure! Brilliant trip, Dave…..thank you.... View Boats Page
