June was a bit of a windy month but we still managed to get out to some long distance wrecks to catch some fine Pollack, not many cod in june this year but are now starting to show now in july, still lots of good fishing on light tackle on the inshore marks for plaice dabs sole bream and smoothounds. We have been catching lots of Turbot and Brill on live sand eel and on fresh Mackerel , on some new inshore marks. David link had two nice Brill and turbot, Jez thought he had a nice turbot only to find when it got near the boat it was a tshirt full of sand better luck next mate ! Ray caught turbot and was very sporting and let them go after picture taken, Tony Stream caught his first turbot of 8lb . Lots more to catch so give me call to book your spot on Yellowfin.

The weather has played a big part this year in stopping us getting out ,
So just to update 28/6 went wrecking with 6 rod hires they had plenty of cod to around 9lb not bad at all considering that they had never fished before well done lads and ladies .
30/6 see us going to a different spot again all rod hires where they soon got the knack of wrecking and was into pollock to over 12lb and a few nice plaice on the way in . View Boats Page

The wrecks still have some Cod and Pollock on the deep water marks. The water temperature is still well down for this time of year, which has affected the fishing a bit. We are hoping that the temperature increases and the water start to clear. There have also been a few Conger just starting to show, which is good.
The Plaice and the Black Bream fishing has been reasonable on the inshore marks along with some nice big Bass. This is Bob Nye with the biggest of the day, it was caught on a squid bait on an inshore mark.
We are looking forward to some settled weather to get out on those deep water wrecks. View Boats Page

At last the weather has warmed up, and the summer species are showing now, we have had our first Turbots of the year, two people catching their first ever Turbots,
Bream, Plaice and smooth hounds, Tope been caught on the rough ground.
As you can see some very nice Pollack been caught on the wrecks, best ones caught
on the new style redgills, and sidewinders and shads still catching nice fish.

Went out on a lovely, sunny but breezy evening with Kurt on Yellowfin. The brisk NE breeze meant we had to stay inshore but that didn't stop us catching ! 10 plaice up to 2lb, countless small dabs with a couple of keepers, 2 lovely sizeable bream, a couple of macks, a smoothound, a decent Channel whiting and the obligatory baby pout.
A great evening with a great skipper and we can't wait to get out again. View Boats Page

A great day out thanks to the efforts of skipper Mick and crewman Wayne. Mick put us on the fish with cod (40 plus), plaice (30 plus), dabs, pouting, whiting, red gurnard and mackerel being caught. Amongst a great many other fish, I had a 3lb 8oz (when weighed at home so probably larger when caught) plaice - a personal best! The weather was perfect, the company was great and there was plenty of tea / coffee, iced donuts, garlic bread and pasties thrown in. What more could you ask for? Thanks guys. Thanks to Mick and son (Aaron) for an exceptional days fishing. Both worked hard to ensure we caught over 35 cod/pollock over many wrecks and Mick's skill in drifting is second to none and always found the mark. Numerous drifts, cups of tea/coffee, pies, hints, tips and patience should put the Emma Louise at the top of your list for the South Coast. Aaron gutting the fish for us all (there was a lot of fish.......) on the way back just rounded the day off perfectly. Thanks again, Geoff.

Managed to get 4 days fishing in, despite the poor weather forecast at the beginning of the week.
Plaice fishing on Wednesday. A great day with a few fish. Everyone managed to catch a few plaice. Looking forward to their next trip, as they were such a good crowd.
On Friday and Saturday fishing was not so great, but we still managed to get a few cod and pollock off the wrecks, but needed to do a lot of miles to find them, despite having some good anglers on board.
Sunday was by far our best day fish wise, with some more new faces on the boat. Again on the wrecks for cod and pollock. No large fish, but plentiful.

The weather has not been brilliant so far in 2013, but we are looking ahead and it is that time of year when we are going to start anchoring up for those big Conger Eels offshore.
The water has been cold for the Conger lately, but hopefully now that wind is back in the south west, it will warm the sea back up for them.
We have got plenty of cuttlefish ready as we start the anchoring season. We still have dates available on the good anchor tides for those offshore wrecking trips - so get yourself booked in. I am very much looking forward to getting back out there for those big eels. View Boats Page
