Report on-board Skerry Belle
Some decent sized hounds showing onboard. Well over a dozen yesterday up to 9lb. All falling to crab bait's (supplied onboard) Plenty of thornbacks on the Goodwin's. And we should start to see some decent bass from March onwards. (No ban on bass fishing from 1st March.) Taking bookings now for Spring and Summer. Call Roger on 07805250427 to book on.

Should be a few more cod showing now the temperature is dropping, also thornbacks on the Goodwin's with the big females nudging well over 15lb, plenty of other species to keep the rods moving with channel whiting plump dabs smoothhounds pouting whiting and strap conger on the wrecks, most trips at mo producing 40-50 fish a rod, so there's some bumper months ahead, remember all equipment baits supplied and hot pies for lunch,

We decided to take a days fishing on the Skerry-belle Phil(me) Terry Simon and Lyndon
Best decision ever
The most amazing fishing trip ever with skipper Roger and deck hands Paul and Ian such knowledgeable guides and great company we were looked after all day and experienced a once in a lifetime days fishing . While Ian and Paul set up the rods Roger navigated his boat straight to the fish and got us in amongst Bass immediately , first fish safely on the boat within 2minutes a 6 lbs Bass fantastic but only the start I caught a personal best a massive 10 lbs specimen Bass Terry another PB an 8lbs plus Simon and Lyndon both caught their PB’s Bass over 6 lbs . Roger keeping us in fish all day by reading the signs and moving to new locations with everyone catching constantly.
Thank you so much Roger Paul and Ian for working so hard and giving us a day we will all never forget .

With the summer coming to a end we are starting to see a large number of better sized fish already. Both inshore and on the wrecks we are catching Bass,Codling,Pollock,Hounds,Bream,Rays,Mackerel and many other species. Availability for September weekends is very limited but we still have spaces for midweek bookings, September has always been the best months for our inshore bass fishing and good for better fish off the wrecks. A busy weekend aboard Duke lV with Smoothounds to 9lb, some good Bass and plenty of Mackerel. Justin brought his kids down Sunday, they had a great time battling it out with the Hounds on the toothpick rod we use for the youngsters. We have some spaces available from mid August when we hope the larger Bass will be around. Tight lines ��

The Mackerel are here with good numbers and plenty of keeper size fish. Following the Mackerel are some good size Bass like Veidas 6.5lb fish caught close to Ramsgate harbour. Smoothounds and Skate are still around with Finn landing a 10lb female Ray that he released. Dates still available for groups or individuals on Duke IV.

Ramsgate is now fishing at its best with plenty of species available with large Smoothounds, Bass and Thornback Ray along with Mackerel, Strap Congers, Whiting and Dabs.
