Report on-board Flamer IV
Andy Collings a Flamer regular for over 20 years booked Flamer IV to celebrate his 65th Birthday, he invited along his son Peter and two friends.
Andy wanted a day where they could all use light tackle. Baits used were Ragworm, Squid, Mackerel,
The day was spent mostly drifting for Plaice and Gurnards and a session at anchor on a Reef which produced lots of Congers and some Black Bream.
An enjoyable day was had by all. Catch of the day was a 3Ib 2oz Plaice landed by David Hawker.

Report on-board Our Joe - L
Our Summer Season fishing out of TorBay has now started after 'the rona' pumped the brakes on most things fishy for a couple of months.
Fishing has beed fairly productive with some quite times during the fishing holidays. Thats fishing!
It was tough starting having not been to sea for a decent 4-5 months but getting back in the swing of summer now.
Fishing over the Wrecks has produced some nice Bass, Cod and Pollock with an occasion ling on the baits. Most pollock have been fairly small to 6lb although we've been hitting the occasional the double figure pollock. still it's early doors yet. A real bonus was to see a Sea Trout come up on a skerries eel lure for Kevin, around 4-5lb but we didn't have scales to hand before returning to hopefully breed another day.
The Skerries Bank has chucked up some fish over the last 2 weeks, steady days on the plaice and a couple of Blondes to around 18lb so far.
OUR JOE - L will soon be back in Dartmouth in October to start out winter season off with the Dartmouth Fishing Festival.
If you're interested in fishing from Dartmouth this winter get booked on.

Report on-board Flamer IV
At last back out fishing and good to be back. My first charter trip since the middle of March.
I had the pleasure of Khang and his friends,on the way out they were treated to a Dolphin leaping out of the water several times.
As they all had light tackle we anchored a mark to the East of Weymouth in not too much tide.
They enjoyed themselves catching Thornback Rays, Congers, Smooth Hounds and the usual Dogfish.
Also caught quite a few Mackerel during the trip, "good to see the Mackerel are about".
Khang is pictured with his 35Ib Conger eel.
They enjoyed themselves so much they have already booked for a trip next week.
July dates - not many left now, so don't miss out - July 22nd and 23rd are both Reef/Bank Trips and available for whole boat bookings or individuals.View Boats Page

Fishing Report by John Peck
on Lady Margaret (Poole, Dorset)

Report on-board Lady Margaret
The fishing is very good at the moment and we have been helped by generally favourable weather although there have been some windy spells.
There are lots of plaice being caught. Plenty of small fish around but also a good number of bigger fish up to 3lb. All of the local marks are producing fish which is great as you do not need to travel far to find nice fishing.
Further out there are plenty of bass taking lures fished on the drift. The big fish have eluded us so far but we have had plenty up to 6lb. Our last trip also produced a 4lb tub gurnard amongst the bass.
We haven't been doing much fishing at anchor but when we have there have been rays and lots of tope which are often a brief encounter on a light nylon trace!
The mackerel have arrived now but seem to be feeding for certain periods rather than right through the day. It is better to bring some frozen mackerel for bait rather than relying on catching bait immediately.View Boats Page

Fishing Report by Malcolm Collins
on Just Mary (Christchurch, Dorset)
18 Jun 2020 by Malcolm Collins
Report on-board Just Mary
Hi All, the trips continue aboard 'Just Mary' from Christchurch with a visit from well known South Coast Angler Steve Preddy being joined onboard by his two sons. We fished a local well known Bream holding reef in Poole Bay and really had to work hard for the fish. Initially we couldn't get through the Pouting for the Black Bream but perseverance and a bit of staying power paid off and so did retaining some of the Pouting for bait in the absence of any Mackerel. We landed some nice 'Blue Boys' Male Black Bream on the ebb before the slack water came. Over slack before the flood started Kiran Preddy hooked and landed a 4lb Turbot, perfect eating size at 45cm, on Bream gear of size 2 hook to paternoster trace on Pouting strip. This fish was quickly followed by a Female Undulate Ray of 15lb2oz by his Father Steve Preddy again on Bream gear and a size no.2 hook with Pouting strip as bait. The Undulate was a welcome bonus on light gear and a classic Daiwa Sea Hunter rod, quickly unhooked, weighed in a net bag on my new scales, photographed and released unharmed as these big Undulates are the breeding stock of future generations. A couple of personal best fish for the Anglers and a sign of things to come onboard for 'Just Mary', now we need the fresh Mackerel in decent numbers and we can target these fish rather than them being 'accidental' catches. We also landed our first red gurnard of the season just to prove that Summer is here. Now we need the weather to settle down and behave after the coming four days of blow and we can get going again for more of the same, thanks, Malc.

Catching Black Bream and other species on local reefs and rocky areas. Good fish on good days with good friends, thanks to all of you who have fished with me this year together we will make 2020 a successful year despite the current difficulties, all the best to all of you, thanks, Malc.

Report on-board Mistress Linda / San Gina3
Hi
After a long break and with the new social distancing measures and strict cleaning methods in place around the boat ( the boat is deep cleaned after every trip) it is good to have my friends back onboard fishing. The results have been excellent with bumper bream catches, plenty of small Plaice and some sporting hounds. We have spent the mornings fishing for the fiesty black bream with lots of double and triple shots, (Brian Moss has developed a series of luminous glow beads and they out perform all the others as tried over 3 days ) during slack water to avoid being pestered by pout we have moved inshore to drift for Plaice and the rewards have been good in numbers but not the size we would like the bonus is we have landed some cracking hounds, Gurnards, bream, mackeral and to give our plaice rigs a test some strap congers and a 9lb undulate.View Boats Page

Fishing Report by Matt Forrester
on Silver Halo (Torquay, Devon)
Jun 2020 by Matt Forrester
Report on-board Silver Halo
SINCE COVID 19 LOCKDOWN HAS BEEN RELAXED.
Since the slight relaxing of lockdown at the end of May I have run a few trips with just one angler.
The wrecking (drifting with lures) has been mostly very good but as usual, a few slow hours here and there inevitable.
Best pollock has been 12lb with loads in the 6 to 8lb mark. Best cod was 11lb with many around the 4 to 6lb mark. Bass are also now starting to show.
From today (1st of June) under the newer and still strict covid 19 guidelines, I'm able to offer trips for upto 3 individuals or upto 4 members of the same house hold.
I ask for passengers to provide an email address so I can send my guidance notes over. These explain what is required onboard and are for everyone's benefit.
My complete boat costs are needed to be set at the normal charge of £450.00 for a full 9 hour, medium range trip which will cover up to 50 miles. I'm happy to run a bit over this if required.
I can also offer 5 hour complete boat charters for £350 and 7 hour for £400.
Please note this is a premium charter with more space and less lines in the water.
My overheads and running costs are still full price and I've still not recieved a penny in aid from the government or local council!!!
Please get intouch if interested, we have some good fishing right now and I'm happy to help.
I appreciate your support in these difficult times, all the best Matt Forrester, skipper and owner.View Boats Page
