    Report on-board Channel Warrior

Few of these beauties showing now.
Channel warrior will be staying in the water this coming winter but will be coming out halfway through December until halfway through January for maintenance and clean up and being the shortest days thought that would be the best time to do it. So we will be there for the start of 2019 pollock season

Undulate rays seem to be on all the marks this year. Only seen the odd few over recent years yet this year they are in abundance.
Channel warrior will be staying in the water this winter 2018/2019. So I will be doing fishing trips through out the winter months with the exception of a few weeks for maintenance. Let’s just hope the weather will kind so we can get a few trips in

  • 25/08/2018 Fishing Report by Philip Higgins on Mistress Linda / San Gina3 (Poole, Dorset)

    Report on-board Mistress Linda / San Gina3

The last few days have seen the Mistress Linda fishing in the Swash Channel and along the beaches, the results have been excellent with plenty of Bream up to 1lb 12ozs and small to medium Plaice. On a short evening trip the Sunseeker team were treated to a couple of hours full on Bream fishing with over 50 being landed along with a few Mackeral. Excess weed has restricted fishing the Swash for most of the tide but if you time it to miss the weed the results are worth it. Local club Albion SAC decided to try for a Trigger Fish to no avail but fishing along the beaches landed lots of Plaice, Bream, Gurnard and a few Red Mullet the best weighing in at 1lb 6ozs caught by Keith Trim.

  • 16/08/2018 Fishing Report by Philip Higgins on Mistress Linda / San Gina3 (Poole, Dorset)

16 Aug 2018 by Philip Higgins

    Report on-board Mistress Linda / San Gina3

    Hi
what a change to the weather today, earlier in the week it was all sunshine today it was full waterproofs and boots but the fishing continued to be steady. Over the past few days because of the big tides we choose to stay inshore and enjoy the good Plaice fishing with the best touching 3lb 4ozs, in amongst the Plaice some good size Bream have been landed including a few Giltheads. There seems to be an abundance of small Tub Gurnards along the beaches and the usual pesky baby bream.
On the banks some good ray action has kept people busy with Kim B again out fishing hubby Jamie and landing an Undulate of over 15lb and after a few trips dogfish free they have returned, for us Mackeral have been very patchy and on a couple of days we did not see any so if you do find them make sure you get some for the coming winter months.
For the next few weeks my main focus turns to Trigger Fish as I love catching these incredible fighting fish and many of my anglers have also become hooked (pardon the pun) and enjoy chasing them.
    all the best
    Philip

    Report on-board Just Mary

    Hi All,

have arrived back in the UK after visiting my family that live abroad to find that the weather has changed very much since I left ! However we will not let this deter us from finding more good fish for our Anglers. August is a good month to begin Inshore fishing on the Spring Tides 'along the front' drifting for Plaice, Gurnard, Bream, etc and Offshore on the Neaps for Tope, Rays and Congers.....weather permitting obviously. So we will get going again and get out there amongst the fish.....thanks, Malc.
