Well it has been a few hard week for Obsession and her crews.The strong winds has made it hard to hit the offshore wrecks.
When we have been at sea we have had hard fighting Pollock to 17lb with a few Cod.
Now our thoughts are of xmas so please do not forget we are running trips all over Christmas(not xmas day please!!!).
So when you are fed up with Turkey or the inlaws why not join us for a days fishing.Kevin has said he will have a stock of mince pies on the boat!!!!!!

Despite a "gales later" warning for sea areas Wight, Rocket went fishing. We kicked off our winter fishing season with some nice fish coming to the net. Kim White boated and released a Turbot of 12lb. Other species landed ,included Rays,Channel Whiting ( estimated @ 80- 90) , Pollock,Mackerel, Pout ect. Call me if you fancy a comfortable days fishing over productive grounds.

The weather has certainly taken a dip and with the wind coming from the north the temp has dropped but the fishing remains top class, yesterday we caught a beautiful Allis Shad weighing in at 2lb 6ozs (weighed and returned) along with lots of Plaice Dabs and Dogfish, today with strong winds and rain forecasted we opted to go for Plaice in sheltered waters, with light winds and bright sunshine we had a brilliant trip with Linda (not my boss) and her staff landing plenty of Plaice to 2lb 10ozs Dabs Gurnards and a bonus 4lb Brill. The Cod catches are increasing in numbers and this is your chance to bag one of those winter heavyweights, please check the website for spaces or give me a call 07860794183.

AUTUMN FLATTY FISHING -
Andy Collings landed a 5Ib 3oz Plaice which he returned alive to grow bigger also on the same trip Robin Amor landed a 4Ib 2oz Plaice.

At last the temperature is begining to drop and get a bit colder, the cod have started to show in small numbers on the grounds around the Isle of white, we will see if we can tempt any this guy Fawkes weekend, Spaces available for this Saturday 5th,
Still mackerel around and some big ones too so would be good for the table or to stock up the bait freezer,
Looking forward to seeing some nice plump whiting this season and see if we can get a new boat record of even better a British record, anyway I'm off to fill up the boat ready to hunt down those cod in the morning, hopefully a nice big Bass too.

The last few days have been very rewarding in experience and catches, we started off this week testing drones then went Plaice fishing with catches of up to 50 per trip then over to the Isle of Wight winter marks and landed lots of small eels along with channels dogs and 2 nice Cod for Dave Colcough and Ian Napier, today we fished a bank in Poole Bay catching lots of dogs 2 nice Undulates weighing in at 16lb and 14lb along with a 1st for Ron Hawkins from Thatcham a cracking Turbot of 14lb 4ozs along with some more Plaice and Dabs. Please check the trip schedules for forthcoming availability on Cod trips.

The cod trips filling up nicely for the coming months, still some availability on part booked dates leaving from Poole Dorset, don't forget whilst at the moment the weather is mild for time of year, it will get colder soon, but with the huge space Rapid fisher offers you will be nice and comfortable with lots of free T and coffee.
If you fancy some nice fresh caught cod for your dinner why not come and try to catch one or more.
£45 per person with own tackle for Isle of Wight cod trips.
we run 364 days a year on a variety of fishing trips weather permitting but not Christmas Day.
Call or text for available cod trips, bait can be supplied at extra cost but will need at least 24hrs notice if needed.

Up to now 2016 has been a very fruitful year with a great assortment of mixed fishing lots of good quality Rays Smoothounds Bullhuss Congers Tope Bass and plenty of smaller fish. It's November soon and we are now beginning to see the seasonal Whiting and Cod so all things look set for a great winter ahead.
