Wrecking today saw lots of rod action with a good haul of Pollock and one Cod, Cod was 11lb and biggest Pollock 15lb, lots of good size fish averaging 7-9lb and producing good sport, a long hard day but a very fun and enjoyable day, thanks to the lads and hope to see you all again soon.
Pictured is a few of the fish held up by the anglers and the rest in the container and fish boxes on the floor.
Spaces for another set of small tides available 15th June and whole boat available 16th June.

well its been an up and down month with the kingfisher being sold which took us a bit by suprise! we have now formed a new partnership and are in the process of coding the new boat for chartering so hopefully will br back in action soon ! meanwhile we have been out in the new boat on a couple of trips and had some great fishing with large numbers of pollack to 19lb,cod to 37.5lb we recently took a jaunt to guernsey and had 19 turbot and 9 brills for the day between three of us i also managed to snag 2 pb,s on the trip across with a 6lb john dory and a 37.5lb cod so fishing is good !watch this space as hopefully soon we will be back up and running again cheers olly

The weekend 18th/19th May fishing saw Saturday on the skerries bank fishing for plaice with over 65 fish being caught by a group that have never done any fishing before so all caught plaice with the biggest being 2.5lb.
Sunday Spot On! was out wrecking with a few fish here and there and staring the day with ling and cod, moving wrecks during the day we were picking up fish and then we hit whiting madness with sometimes 30 fish coming per drift!
A few more moves saw us picking up some nice Pollock up to 15lb and then we hit lots more cod with a few doubles and pictured is Jamie Smith with his biggest of 2 fish weighing over 20lb's each.
A good weekends fishing all round with great company, many thanks guys and look forward to seeing you on board again soon.

4th and 5th of May saw the return of Milnrow sea anglers for there second trip of 2013.
It was Brixhams Pirate Festival over this weekend so we got in the mood by flying the 'Jolly Roger' flag for the festivities.
8 anglers made the long journey down to fish on Spot On.
Saturday saw a windy day on the skerries but still Spot On managed 75 plaice along with Dabs, Bull huss, grey gurnard, whiting, dogfish and herring.
Best Plaice fell to Paul Whiting topping out at 3lb.
Sunday was a day we would like many more of with flat calm seas and we did not waste it, travelling out to the wrecks and the first cod's of 2013 for Spot On and I am sure not the last, smaller Pollock up to the 7/8lb mark and ling up to 15lb made up the day with more whiting and pouting, over the weekend the lads managed 12 different species between them.
I would like to thank the Milnrow lads for some great fun and bringing the sunshine instead of the snow with them this time. View Boats Page

Fishing has been good recently with catches of Plaice on the Banks and Pollack and Pout on the Wrecks, up until now it has been mainly Herring and Whiting inshore but Hurrah the Mackerel have arrived although small in quantity they are big on quality lets hope these are followed by larger predators. Good numbers of Plaice still being caught off the Skerries Banks, wreck fishing is still proving to be lean due to the water teperature, May bloom and lack of bait fish this should soon change with the warmer weather.

Some really good fishing on the Skerries at the moment for Plaice with some good size fish, not many Launce and surprisingly no Doggies, Wrecks still producing Pollack and Pout with occasional other species but the seas are still settling down after 2 months of incessant Easterly Gales. At least we are getting out now and bringing home some fish. Inshore still no sign of the Mackerel, only good sized Herring and baby Whiting

Finally a weekend with half sensible weather and Spot On was making the most of it.
Saturday Spot On was wrecking and found lots of Pollock with the biggest going to David Inns of 13lb 10oz.
Plenty of other nice fish around 8/9lb mark.
We did have to search around a few wrecks to find the fish here and there.
Sunday saw Spot On venturing to the Skerries bank for the first time in 2013 in search in plaice after I decided to cancel last weekends plaice festival trips due to bad weather and good job I did as reports from fellow anglers tell of 1 fish caught on the charter boats that did risk the weather.
There were plenty of boats out and we stopped short of all of them over a little ridge and within 5 minutes the first plaice was coming aboard, this continued up to 1pm with double braces also and good fun with the biggest fish just hitting 2lb, throw in some dogfish, whiting and a Dab it was a good enjoyable day with everyone catching plenty. Out for a couple of hours with Dave and the guys from Stratford upon Avon, found a shoal of extremely small Whiting which were all returned to grow and mature, we then hit the Herring with some good sized fish, no sign of any Mackerel yet. Weather still not on the great side but hopefully it will improve.

13/04/2013, booking with the guys from Handsworth, weather forecast pretty poor but after consultation decided that 1/2 a day was better than nothing so a 6am start found us 10miles out and a few good Pollack and Pout gradually easing our way back in as the weather closed in. Wish the weather would buck up so we can access the better wrecks and more fish. If you are thinking about joining us give us a call and we will see what we can do if we can go we will.
