    Report on-board Warrior II

    Well the season is well and truly underway !! Still not a lot of bait fish but Whiting, Pollack, Ling and Conger all feeding.
    I begin the Shark Fishing this Friday although there has been some success - Dave - Mystique has had a couple of Blue Sharks so we know they are here, just got to get out and catch some !!
    I have uploaded some pictures of a few of the fish we have had on recent trips and one of my old mate Pete Rout with a Bull Huss he had with us last Sept.
    Look out for some Sharky Pictures very soon "hopefully"

    Report on-board Obsession

    Sunday 22nd,may saw Obsession offshore on the hunt for cod,with a right good bunch of chaps on the boat, and from the get go the micky taking was on top form which helped pass the time on the way to our first wreck. We had the ( bristol massive) on the port side of the boat and the (watchet wonders) on the starboard side and the (bridgwater boy's) on the stern.. It was not long and the first fish was on the deck, a good size pollock, with the tide dropping off the cod came On the feed with some nice double figer fish coming to the net.before long the tide was picking up and the pollock were back on, with speed jigs with big feathers taking some cracking fish, but. Sidewinder lures bagging the most fish without a doubt the new skerries eel lure was the top catcher by far and the rattall back's second. Before long it was time to head home, so we hope to see you on the next trip.     Saterday 30th April saw Obsession offshore again, with a gap in the relentless wind blowing all the time lately -Anyway that's the doom and gloom out the way Let's get back to the fishing, after a steady stream out to our intendid wreck we found some pollock but were abit on the small side but after a chat on the radio with ross of Spot-on, ross put us on to another wreck which he said was holding bigger fish and rightly so in no time we had bent rods with good pollock pulling hard at the other end, which goes to show it is Easier to work Together than work Against one Another, the Rest of them should try it some day.Anyway with the fish steadly coming to the net time was flying and with the wind picking up again it was time to head home, with hopeing the cod will show up soon in numbers We are looking forward to getting back out there as soon as possible.and for those chaps that like conger fishing you have come to the right place as I love those Big ugly bruts -the bigger the better,, don't forget the ray's and flatteys on the skerries for the chap's that don't like to travel to offshore..     Sunday 17th April saw obsessions first trip of the year on the famous skerries bank with the plaice fishing slow we decided to anchor up, as soon as the anchor bit in the boy's were pumping up Big fat blonde ray, with a steady run of blondes coming to the net and the odd dogfish inbetween keeping our tony bizzy to say the least. All the ray were returned alive, with the biggest ray coming to kevin Jones a nice 25 pounder with big dom right behind him.with all the lad's catching plenty of ray and the micky taking on top form there was big smiles around, and to top it off we were followed home by some playful dolphins to finish the day off.     Report on-board Warrior II

    Hi all, here we are then - new year / new season !! We did our first trips last week Wed and Fri, Weather fine enough but water temp down at 7 degrees !! Fishing slow with very few Pollack but a little run of ling, biggest to Brian Copeland @ just under 20lb plus all the normal Pouts, Cuckoo's and poor cod. There was a little show of Mackerel which is promising. This winter Force Ten has been down the boatyard for a refit and is now looking good with a new transom door to let us get the monsters aboard a lot easier and the return to the sea easier still. Looking forward to seeing all my regulars and hopefully a few new faces. That's it for now but will keep you informed as the fishing picks up and the temp rises. Tight Lines, Pete

    Report on-board Obsession

    Good Friday 25th March saw Obsessions first trip from Brixham, Devon.
    Ross from 'Spot on' charters decided to make it a two boat competition and put up a prize for the biggest fish caught on a lure so the two boats left Brixham ferry pontoon at 7am and we steamed out together in glorious sunshine and flat calm seas.

    We fished the one wreck all day alongside Spot On and it was fantastic.

    We had plenty of Pollock, a few ling and some pouting.

    I am pleased to announce that 'Obsession' won the day with a fine ling of 25lb which won the weigh in on the pontoon at the end of the day, Spot On had some nice Pollock which took the second place.

    All in all a great first day for myself and crew on Obsession.

    Thanks to Ross for allowing me his time and help to show me the ropes and start me on the right track of catching fish.
