Report from our 6 hour trip
We started out on uptiding ground which was very productive with a good selection of codling (2 to 4lb), dogfish and pouting.
All customers caught on the grounds as slack water approched we lifted anchor and ran off to the inshore wrecks unfortunalty the wrecks were not playing ball today tide was perfect but not a great amount was caught we did manage to get a few better cod but general fishing was slow. The wrecks had cleared out but now aglee blume seams to have crept in.
Hopefully with some more shelter weather or a chance to run further offside we can find some clear water, and hopefully a good amount of decent size fish.

A nice day on the cod for Haydn, Craig and Graham the other day.
Most of the fish caught on the shad for a change as just recently most of our fish have been falling to the baited rigs.
Good tides are back from Wednesday next week.

The cod fishing of late at Whitby has been fine the lads have some good days and some quality fish the Algie bloom should be more of less gone now so the lure fishing on the cod should really explode .

Over the last couple of weeks we've been getting out to the wrecks when the weather has allowed and so far it's been promising with good numbers of codlings coming over the rails. We have also seen a few ling over the rails. The inshore waters are slowly warming up and with the water clearing out and in some places its been like gin it's brought on the inshore wreck fishing. We have used a mixture of artificial lures such as shads etc and also bait and all seem to be catching well. The summer festival will soon be upon us and we still have some good dates with good tides available so check put the availability calender and give us a call to secure your places. We also have the school whit breakat the end of this month we're we will be running our 3hr taster trips for family's and beginners. We are also still taking bookings for the school summer evening mackerel trips and also 6hr summer evening wreck fishing trips new for this season. Spent most of the day working the wrecks on the 5 mile run on Sunday. The water was very clear indeed which was great to see. However, most of the fish fell to the baited rigs. Squid doing the best. Janine Potts showing the lads how to go on with the best cod of the day at 8 lbs. Final count for the day was 33 cod to 8 lbs and 10 ling to 8 lbs.

I only managed a few photos today, its was a steady day, best angler kept a dozen with a couple of throw backs.
A count up at the end of the day saw around 50 keepers for our efforts.

Had British cod record hold Noel Cooke onboard Noel is a regular on Sea-Otter 2 Noel ain’t a spring chicken anymore but man he can still rattle them cod out the fishing has been very good of late the lads had some excellent sport more to come shads been smashing it the picture is Noel mate ray with a nice cod on a Shad lovely weather and cracking fishing .

Took a mixed group of lads out today, set off in lovely conditions but really freshened up as we came in, not an easy day but finished up with about 30 keepers, spaces still available for tomorrow and right through to next Saturday.
