Good Friday was good, ended up with around 50 codling and got third over all on the day with Alan Knaggs cod which went 6lb 13oz on the scales top man on the boat was Ian Kellock from Hull who finished up with 11 cod all caught on his favourite gay pink jelly worm. Spaces still available through the festival dates.

A belting day at sea yesterday and the cod fishing wasn’t bad either nick green did well he had 17 cod the best 7 lb which got 2nd heaviest in the daily’s in the WCSA £1000 spring festival a lot more to come tel 07748705695 .

After suffering a few weeks of Easterly winds Trot On managed a weather window and headed off to the 18 mile, We did have a little bit of swell until we got into deeper water, With a crew of 9 anglers itching to catch some fish they were not disappointed with the sport. We boated around 100 fish on the day with plenty returned to fight another day .
Cod to just over 5lb, Ling to 7lb 7oz and some nice Pollock to just over 9lb. Most of the fish were taken on squid bait with the odd few being caught on shads. The Pollack managed to secure current 1st place in the W.C.S.A Spring festival that could earn the winner £1000 View Boats Page

It's been a while since our last update and with the easterlies preventing us from getting out over the past week it's gave us chance to catch up on a few things. Our last couple of trips out we had Greg Westgate and his dad charter the whole boat for the self's for a crack at the cod and they weren't disappointed and between them had around 30 codlings taking half for the table. We also returned lots of tiddlers which is great to see. We also had brian
Naughtons group of 10 aboard and they had around 40 keepers on the day. The fishing has been steady away but with the water not been as coloured as I'd like on the uptiding grounds we had a venture out to the wrecks and picked away steady. The average stamp of codlings have been around 2lb to 4lb, with the bait of choice been unwashed squid and blacks. The spring festival is now upon us although we have yet to fish it due to the easterlies but we hope to be back at it towards the end of the week with the winds looking like there dropping off. We also have the kids off school for the Easter holidays so we also have spaces on 3 hr taster trips weather permitting. The weather here at Whitby with the east winds isn’t good at the moment our last day at sea was Thursday another day uptiding the lads managed around 40 cod for day nothing massive best fish around the 6 lb mark very big tides this next week ideal for the uptiding on the cod and with £1000 up for grabs in the WCSA spring festival it’s all to play for tel 07748705695.

We managed to sneak a day in yesterday here at whitby, certainly not an easy day, with easterly motion and neap tides combined with mucky water inshore.
Earlier reports in the week from other boats that travelled offshore to wrecks were not encouraging so we stayed inshore uptiding again.
The Lads fished steadily all day catching a few fish each time we stopped, we managed around 30 codlings for the day all on worm and squid. Most fish were 2lb-4lb.
The weather looks unsettled for the next few days but we have plenty of availability coming up.

DAY OUT YESTERDAY 11TH APRIL .GOT LET DOWN BY 4 ANGLERS WHO RANG THE NIGHT BEFORE DESPERATE TO GO .CALLED OWEN IF ANYONE ELSE GETS A BOOKING OFF HIM GET A DEPOSIT SO WENT OUT WITH 3 WHO TRAVELLED FROM CUMBRIA .AFTER ALL THE WIND AND ROUGH SEAS WE HAD WE WENT UPTIDING WHICH WASNT EASY BUT THE LADS FISHED ALL DAY ENDING UP WITH 17 TAKERS OF AROUND THE 2TO 3 POUND MARK AND A FEW THROW BACKS .THE FESTIVAL KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND WITH £1000 FIRST PRIZE UP FOR GRABS .SPACES NOW AVAILABLE DUE TO LATE CANCELLATIONS .
