Just dreaming about the past when we used to go fishing, hopefully it won't be too long until Boris gives us the go ahead, we will get some nice fish out of the wrecks which must be filling up now they have been left alone for a while, maybe one or two like that 22lb + Cod that Dave Shey caught with us winning the summer festival, with total winnings of £5550, still places available for both summer and autumn festivals if you fancy a go, in the mean time keep safe, I will keep posting updates on my sites if there are any signs we will be going.

Well the lockdown looks like going on for quite a while yet, but what I can say those wrecks will busting to the seems with fish when we get the go ahead .March stated so well with the wrecking stacks of cod and as the water gets a nice and clear the inshore wreck fishing will be a fishing bonanza for cod and ling .It is a little hard when you look out to sea and see it like glass perfect conditions but we will get there in the end .

A nice day on the water yesterday for the lads. Nigh on perfect conditions so we steamed directly to a wreck 18 miles off and remained there for the best part of the day.
The lads picked steadily at the wreck until around 2pm when "Sammy" the seal decided to spoil things for us! Plenty of cod already for the lads though so we decided we'd let him get his dinner!
Forecasts are looking dodgy now until mid week next week so gonna self isolate for a few days with some beer and wine!

First time out since my Holidays with a good bunch of lads aboard we went to the wrecks on the twelve to eighteen mile marks, all the lads caught well, top man was Jason from Tony Barretts gang, after a slow start Tony watching Jason learnt the way to do it and came up with a triple on three muppets, squid was the top bait today but they were also falling to shads, a great day finishing up with fifty plus codlings, hope to see all you lads again. A cracking days wrecking on Friday on Sea-Otter 2 belting weather the lads up from Newmarket had a cracking days fishing quite a lot of fish around the 5-6 lb mark a great days sport .
The downtiding has been excellent this winter and will continue right through March .
Spaces tommorow downtiding fishing should be good on the big tides .

The weather is wild again and doesn’t look good over the next week such a shame really the fishing has been very good indeed .
The last day we were out was Thursday a cracking day light winds sun a taste of spring and fish was very very good indeed the lads had around the 100 cod mark and returned plenty as well it was great fishing the rods were nodding practically all days blacks and squid doing the damage
A lot more to come if want to get right in amongst the cod give me a bell the picture below is one of the lads with a few of his fish a great for all the lads on Sea-Otter 2 .

Out uptiding with the boys from Essex, joined by regularly Paul Stones all caught well and went home with large bags of Cod. On day two out with the boys again joined by Ian Kellock from Hull and Simon and Bill from Barnsley, out off shore ground and wreck fishing we had a bumper day with Cod and Ling, some in double figures.

A gap in the weather this week has allowed to get a few days in here at Whitby. Theres still plenty of fish showing with our better days seeing around 90 codlings a day boated.
Best bait remains Black lug and squid.
