  Report on-board Shy-Torque III

  The September competition comes to an end tomorrow here at Whitby and with us cancelling the day today for a fresh South Easterly, Nigel Hall who is currently leading it with a fine ling of 24 lb 3 oz on the Shy-Torque III is starting to sweat a tad!!
  
  The lads yesterday enjoyed some fine weather and some nice fishing on the morning until the breeze freshened from the South East and spoiled things with a racing drift.
  
  Young Joe Bakewell and his brother from Leicester fished with us and they had a nice few fish between them. His best, a ling of 14 lb which gave him the daily 1st prize . Joe was using a basic 8/0 single hook trace with a fresh piece of mackerel for bait.
  
  Hopefully the weather will sort itself for tomorrow and give the lads one last go at landing the big one!

  Not quite big enough to take the lead in the competition but a good 18 lb 1 oz ling to take the £50.00 1st daily place.

  With yet another bad weather day today, its time for an update, we've had a hard week this week as the tides have lifted.
  
  Numbers have dropped but we've still managed to find a few nice fish each day securing our anglers quite a few daily placings in the festival, Cod into double figures and plenty of double figure Ling too.
  
  We've plenty of upcoming spaces on good tides too, many see this time of year for beating their personal bests as the bigger ling tend come out to play.

  The September competition is going well at the moment here at Whitby.
  The lads on the Shy-Torque III enjoying some steady (but not hectic) fishing over the last few trips.
  A couple more daily prize winning fish on the boat too.
  
  John Robinson from Lancaster taking a 1st daily yesterday with a nice ling of 14lb 15oz winning him £50.00
  Fergus Powell from Whitby taking a 2nd daily prize today with a lovely cod of 10lb 7oz winning him £30.00
  
  Room for a couple more next Monday and Wednesday.

  Another win for Sea-Otter 2 in the daily prizes yesterday with this fine ling some very nice fish coming a board cod,ling and pollock plus many other species as well wrasse, coalfish , mackerel some great sport for the boys a lot more to come on Sea-Otter 2

  Report on-board Sea Otter 2

  Another good days sport for the lads on Sea-Otter 2 plenty of cod yesterday and some very nice pollock and ling as well .
  
  Richard sutcliffe hasn’t been sea fishing for a while but soon got back in the grove he had a Fabulous days fishing back onboard in a coupe of weeks for another bash .
