Been coming on the Heidi J for years. Had a fantastic week’s fishing this holiday – caught hundreds of mackerel, whiting etc. but the highlight of this trip was the wrecking – caught a 15lb 10oz cod – biggest cod I’ve ever seen and definitely the most impressive catch I’ve ever had! Also caught some big ling whilst wrecking – took two people to lift our catch after coming back from the wrecks! Definitely the best (and heaviest) fishing I’ve ever had. Frank and Eric are always ready to lend a hand with any problem you have, from baiting up to reel and line tangles, complemented by Frank’s infamous repertoire of jokes and songs! Can’t wait for next year’s fishing! Jamie

We’ve been coming on the Heidi J for one week every year for about the last 15 years! This year was a great success; we caught hundreds of mackerel as well a few big ling and a 15 lb cod!! Frank and Eric are good fun and very helpful. I definitely recommend a trip! Just make sure you brush up on your pirate accent and fish jokes ☺

I have been coming with Frank on the Heidi J with my two kids for over 15 years now. I wouldn't miss it for the world. This year was the best fishing ever! We caught cod, ling, whiting, mackerel and dabs. This is the best boat in Bridlington. It also has the best cabaret from Frank and Eric!! Can't wait for next year. Wimbledon Pete.

Once experienced - never forgotten! A day's fishing with Frank and Eric is a pleasure from beginning to end. We go as a family group, and this time took my nephew (9yrs old) who is a sea fishing / Scarborough reel novice. Eric and Frank showed the utmost patience in teaching him the necessaries, and as a result, several fish later, we had one very happy, confident lad. We always have a good show of fish - a great range of species (9 on this last trip). We tend to fish in spots recommended by Frank off Thornick Bay and surrounds, and are amply rewarded with decent sized cod, and this time a 9lb pollock. As well as the exemplary fishing, the company is great fun (however I do agree with previous reviewees concerning Frank's jokes - some serious broadening of horizons is needed here)!! Back to fishing - we take some of our own rods, but there are always plenty of back-ups and tackle available which is required for the rapidly growing family turnout on these trips... now the word has spread about the quality of the day, aunties and uncles I haven't seen in ages are turning up on the quayside for a slice of the action! We will not charter any other skipper and crew - the days are full of decent fish, great scenery, hilarious company and greatly looked forward too by all...... Frank, Eric - what stars!

Another great day out with Frank and Eric. He kept us on the wrecks, caught some good Cod and Ling throughout the day. I will be booking again within the next few weeks.

Great boat, great crew, loads of room, and plenty of excellent advice. Bloody awful jokes mind, and the Skipper sings like a goose farting in the fog :-)

what a great boat and crew , my first time was really good i even managed to catch summat , i've been 4 times with frank eric, n paul and had a fantastic time this time i caught my biggest fish to date. addmittedly franks singing and jokes are some what an experience of their own but all in all you are garaunteed a trip of a lifetime can't wait for next trip soon... eric just needs to buy hobnob biscuits for next time please

i love this boat its got a great crew and i always come off with fish , my partner's first fishing experience was on heidi j and now he's hooked (pardon the pun). frank makes you feel really welcome and you are assured a fantastic time
