RAMSGATE FISHING CHARTERS operates out of Ramsgate’s Royal Harbour, with a wide variety of trips available, whether you’re a beginner or experienced fisherman. We cater for individual anglers and small groups.

We offer a range of days out, with four hour evening trips in the summer, whole boat hire, and four or eight hour trips. Our group packages are perfect for holidaymakers, competitions, birthday parties, and corporate events. We also offer trips for the scattering of ashes or filming.
Roger Lennon has been fishing out of Ramsgate Harbour for over 42 years. He is an ex-commercial fisherman and ex-merchant Navy coxswain. He is passionate about angling and always aims to give you the best fishing experience he can provide. Great day out for ten mates who knew next to nothing about fishing. Roger and deck hand Ian really looked after us and we caught quite a few fish. Definitely recommended

We had a great day out with Roger and Dave. Dave worked like a Trojan helping the novices in our group, which let the anglers in the group fish. Roger put us on the fish and everyone in the party (8) caught decent sized Hounds, Bass and Mackerel. Add in the hot pies, drinks and banter and it was a jolly boy's outing to Ramsgate. Now planning our return date next month.

My Dad and I went on the Skerry Belle today and what a fantastic day we had. Roger the skipper was really helpful and knew his stuff. We caught many fish on the day and it was a day to remember. Thanks Roger, see you again soon.

What a great day we both had. Tea and coffe on boarding the boat were unexpected but very acceptable. Advice was most welcome for newcomers to sea fishing. Ron usually course angles, but really loved this. Diana being a sissy girl couldn't put the bait on but one of Roger, John or Pete were always there to help out. Ladies give it a try ( the bonus is you get a brilliant sun tan) Thanks Roger a great day see you next year.

Bass fishing on the skerry belle. Had a great day catching bass, The crew were very helpful and proffessional. Clean boat and plenty off room on board it. Would highly recommend using them. l will be going back out again.

With Winter nearly behind us, we will now turn our attention to much milder and better weather and the early Spring fish waking up. This is a great time to get out, as we can start to see some cracking bass, large thornback rays, early big female hounds, and still with a chance of codling, conger, and spurdogs on the wrecks. All baits to catch these fish will be supplied onboard including fresh peelers, prawn, spider crab, and velvets. Remember, we are a full time Charterboat and operate 24/7. Trips can even be booked the night before and equipment, baits and lunch are supplied, from as little as £60 pp.

With Autumn fast approaching we will now be turning our attention to the larger bass that move through the Goodwins on their migration south. These fish can be caught either on baits or lures, with fish nudging the 10lb bracket. Codling are starting to show. Curtis had a nice one yesterday (see photo) along with large channel whiting, thornback rays and spurdogs. Autumn is probably one of our best fishing seasons and remember we are a full time charter boat and you can book on 24/7. Bookings 07805250427

Some decent bass shoaling up now on the Goodwin's mainly to crab and mackerel baits.some very big pupped up smoothounds showing some nudging well over 15lb, plenty thornbacks and mackerel showing in the deeper water,

Looks like spring is coming early and everything is waking up. The inshore wrecks are showing conger and the banks are producing thornbacks, whiting, dabs and decent smoothhounds to crab baits. Certainly a chance of spurs showing in early March and bass and occasional codling will also be showing to lug baits. Remember we operate all through the week and weekends and bookings can be made the night before. Tight lines
