Profile: Sam Cumming spent his childhood fishing with Andy at home and abroad, when he was eight he was Wessex NFSA Junior Champion. At 16 he decided he wanted a career in the fishing industry and applied and was accepted as an apprentice at the Whitby School of Sea Fishing. He completed his fishing apprenticeship on a trawler in some of the toughest waters in the world, the North Sea, and was awarded Apprentice of the Year in 2007. Sam completed his theoretical and practical training to gain his commercially endorsed Yachtmasters certificate (RYA) in 2008. He has made an impressive start to his chartering career over the last 10 years; specialising in finding new marks to bring our anglers the best fishing the South Coast has to offer.
