Report on-board Flamer IV
JUNE 2011 - 2/3/4/5 day Angling Breaks are really popular aboard Flamer IV with the latest group to taste the wonderful fishing off Weymouth were the Gypsy Mariners SAC from Plymouth. In fact this was their fourth year they have had an angling break aboard Flamer. They like to do the inshore reefs/banks/mussel beds etc for mainly flatfish/rays and different species. They were not dissapointed on all counts catching 24 different species during their angling break including undulate, blonde, spotted and thornback rays, plaice, turbot and brill along with many more species such as black bream, gurnards, bull huss etc.Lenny and Mark both had 6Ib plaice.Mark is pictured with his 6Ib 2oz plaice which was his personal best. They do a spcies type competition over the duration of their angling break which always adds that bit extra and the results were Winner - Mark Cooper,Runner Up - Paul Costello,
